If the best thing you've got to do with your time and money is to buy 50 players and manage them all as a team you need to get out of mom's basement and get a life.

I think it is a great idea. He gets to know exactly what his entire team is going to look like with great build plans and not have to deal with any egos.

I think you are just jealous that you can't beat him. I find it a challenge and look forward to playing him.

*shrugs* It's my money, my plan, and I'll do what I want with it as long as Bort and Co. want it. I've at least got the balls to put my player building/GM plan/ownership on the line instead of grabbing free lolGM trophies like some people.

His insult post applies to more than one team in this conference though and applies to many teams, including new ones, in GLB. It appears many teams are built with 1-5 owners supplying all the players. Probably as a way to get around the recruiting issues that exist, IMO.

Funny, because everyone knows that dot builders, GM's, and Owners are really showcasing their talent in casual.

What's it take to boost a full 55 man squad, like 30-35k flex per season? So somewhere around $200 every 56 days?

That's 1-2 nights per month @ at a bar potentially. Or one night per season @ a strip club. Or (insert comparable waste of time/money here).

At least these folks are getting daily entertainment for thier money. Yeah, a traditional MMO game that costs 10-15 bucks a month is probably a better value, but after getting the flex back from retirement the costs don't really work out to be that far apart. GLB just requires a bigger initial investment.

Between the recruiting issues, wanting to remain competitive with solid builds and the confidence of knowing that your players will boost and will not go inactive or not pay attention to game plans, I completely understand the owning a team by one player. My teams offense was completely owned by me until a season or two ago (gets to be damned expensive). Its much more fun to have a team with active agents and active forums, but it takes awhile to get the right people on board to make that happen.

yea, I forgot. We're all just kidding ourselves here and we should be scared to death if any regular league team owner decides to come to casual........Their "real" showcased talent is going to bury all of us.

its a lot of money, but its his money. this guy has beat me many times and has stopped me from getting trophies. I do it the regular way via recruiting. however, i dont hold a grudge against handmonster. like voegma said, its a challenge

Ive done it both ways, and won both ways..... to me, I had alot of fun each way, and dont condemn or condone wither one of them. Though personally, i like the teams that have 8-9 active owners building all the players. That way I get a little of both ends!!!

Good to know that you like it both ways. Remind me to stay out of the showers when you are around. ;-)
Sorry, couldn't resist.
