How effective are the pure strength builds for power backs? I'm trying to decide whether to balance my guy out with speed or redo my equipment to take his STR up to around 70. Anyone have any experience doing this and, if so, were you able to break a lot more tackles (include D-linemen tackles) or was the improvement minimal?

Well it won't hurt if you have 70 plus strength. That is the route I am going to now then hitting up my agility to max. You can look at my HB Jonah if you want.

I was told from reliable sources the agility/strength will break more tackles than strength alone.

Also hurts power HB that wrap up tackle setting is over powered so far in this game.

Interesting, I have been ignoring agility for the most part but might have to rethink that I guess. Did you hear this from someone with a pretty high-level power back?

I'm pretty high on strength-heavy HB's. As his strength has gone up he's broken tackles more consistently against higher-leveled opponents and his YPC has gone up. His agility was always decent, but the scary thing was when I added some speed to the mix.

So yeah, strength is going to continue to be dominant, especially since defenders are boosting vision to combat elusive backs. Get a good line to make a hole and you're facing guys you can run over if your strength's high enough.

2:1:1 Strength:Agility:Speed is a good ratio, just keep pumping SP into strength because you damn-well know those defenders are.

That's really helpful. Thank you!

You're welcome.

Another note: get "Power Through" as high as you can, I'd put two points in once your strength hits 48.3+, then add a point to it every other level or so.
