It seems like a lot of elusive backs are having a TON of fumbles this year. What has everyone been doing to try and correct the problem? What's worked so far?

I don't know. I have an elusive back and through 6 games I only have 1 fumble and that was in a game where I had his running style at combo instead of elusive. My strength is 24 and carry is 28 if that makes a difference.

I've read through that thread, and while there are many suggestions none of them seem to work. I've got a power back who's not have near the fumbling problems of our elusive back, so I thought a more specific thread on keeping the ball in the hands of those shifty guys might be in order. I think I've got the power back nailed.

What concerns me most is that he's got 30+ strength and carrying, I noticed in that other thread that other backs had 30+ in strength and carrying and were still having fumble problems. My guess is that when Bort lessened the effect strength had on carrying to create more fumbles from power backs it was extremely detrimental to elusive backs. The key now is trying to fix it or at least compensate for it.

Have any of you seen a difference with "Cover Up?"

OMG -- couple things:

1) I believe the key for an elusive back is to avoid tackles altogether, rahter than try to keep up with carrying and STR. Obviously you can't avoid tackles altogether but what i mean is those SPs are better spent on the juke moves, head fakes and AGI/VIS than on STR or Carry for an Elusive back. Coverup does not seem to do as much as it purports to (at least for Elusive or Combo back)- I have a feeling it only works well in conjunction with a build that has high base carrying (or high base STR, or something along those lines.. something that an elusive back probably doesn't have a high

2) Power back Q... WHat carrying skill min would you recommend for a Power Back who has 50+ Speed and 30+ AGI. And what ratio would you build him out from then on at STR:AGI:CArry --- cheers
