Not 100% sure how I feel about this. I can see the merit of it, but I also think if we were going to add something like this we'd have to severely penalize the defender in "contain" setting on inside runs. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

Just by moving outside once he reads run, the defender is putting himself out of position to handle inside runs, so I think that effect would already be there. You could add a difficult Vision check, if necessary, for him to get back into the play on an inside run.

If the DT, DE, LB & S not set to contain can't handle the inside, there is only so many things you can fix.

And I am fine with that...if I set my Safeties to Contain & my LBs & Line can't handle the middle, I need better LBs & Line.

This again. I think there are a lot of people doing things wrong. I'm having no problem with the inside run or containing the outside run as things are.

LOL.. You think I am running that Defense because my name shows as the DC? I fixed his broken AI many seasons ago. Other than that, the only thing I do is provide my input when he asks.

Your team isn't high enough of a level to be a good indicator.

Hehe, I heard that when they were in rookie league also, but from what I see, it's much harder to get contain in lower leagues than higher ones. The issue in higher leagues appears to be missed tackles.
