i dont want more alerts for something easily visible on my team page. If you cant easily see when a tournament game is you obviously wont make the effort to change tactics either.

That's why I originally voted against it. I changed my vote because it appears this is something people really want and it wouldn't exactly harm me.

must have. Sometime I notice we palyed a tournament game 2 or 3 days after the game

regular games don't change.

friendlies are scheduled at an agreement in time with both owners.

tournaments just pop up there whenever and you usually don't get much notice for the early on matches.

Some people are busy, Mike Rogers even missed a tourny game a few seasons back, and he damn sure sets tactics.

When you send a friendly, you get alerted it was accepted

if you get offered one, you are alerted one was sent.

this is a no brainer, sorry you feel yu just have to troll random threads, just cause you may not need it doesn't mean others don't. Like DubJ said, it doesn't apply to him but to others it will be helpful so he +1 it for the greater good of GLB and not his own selfish personal reasons.
