So it's 34-27 for/against. I'd love to hear comments from those that are against it as to why they are against it. Provide some logic behind your vote please.

Only issue I see is teams demoting out of the National Pro 7 and National Pro 8 into the Regional Pro. Creates a gap for sandbaggers, but more importantly, sets some very good teams with dots in the low 60's vs teams full of 70-72. A very good team can win vs these teams if they get lucky, but it should be more to the work they are putting in and less to the levels IMHO.

If we could get a league icon next to our team name like in the WL this would make it a little better imo.

So what happens to the winners of NP #7 and 8? They deserve to be promoted as well. A lateral promotion at this point is kind of silly. There will be some good teams that were not good the season before missing out because of where they were placed. We all know that great teams can come out of the woodwork and be worthy. It's not exactly common place, but it happens. If they take a lateral promotion, you will see a disbanding most likely.

I don't like that part of it, everything else looks good.

Sure - we could always have a team pick what region they are from. I like that idea.

Generally those will be the worst teams at the Pro level - they'll move to Competitive/Elite the following season to try and earn their way in. Just because you win a league does it mean you're good enough to move up to the next level. Just look at how it works in the current minors. I can guarantee you that a team that wins for example National Minor League #7 is not even close to being on par with any playoff team in National Minor Elite League #1.

Honestly, I'm fine with keeping the league structure as is or changing it. Main reason I posted this is because National Pro competitiveness has been a hot button issue for a while and this is a proposed fix. I just want feedback on why it's a bad idea if people think it's a bad idea and maybe we can improve upon it.

I just see teams disbanding because of it. If you earn a Gold and don't move up like it used to be, then it might deflate the players and they will want to move on without the team. Furthermore....if they get to the next level and suck, then they get thrown back down a notch the next season and earn up from elite that way.

If you dump them all, everybody loses. Use a system that is quantitative. Wins in WL by region.

Yea, I'm not sold on that either. Was just my initial idea. Definitely can change that if it makes more sense.

Maybe just the league winners then, go to two competitive and four normal leagues. Something like:

Elite final four: 8
Competitive championship game for competitive: 4
Winner normal: 4

That better?
