Need something. The players looking for teams forum is almost useless do to the very fast posting rate forcing adds to back pages. The same is true with the teams looking for players forum. IMHO the weakest area of the game right now.

Yes, I read the whole thing.
I prefer the point that was made to just fix the Marketplace and make the comment more forum-like.
The big issue I have with it is the fact that the player has to be a free agent.
I'm 100% against this.
I like to advertise and commit to teams well before they become FA's.
As a team owner, I also like to recruit all my players before day 40 hits.
IMO, players should be able to advertise within 20 days of an expriing contract.
Otherwise, I like the rest of the idea and its a step in the right direction towards making this game easier for the users.

He doesn't have to be a free agent. Right now on the marketplace you can see dots that are still under contract and aren't on CPU teams but have put themselves on the marketplace. (example: http://goallineblitz.com/game/market_free_agent_ad.pl?player_id=1525743 ) I'm not sure exactly what the restriction is but it might be something like if you're not a free agent already, then your contract has to expire in the next 10 days or something.
