You're kidding right?
A suggestion that would actually HELP the staff and it hasn't been implemented in over a year in the suggestions forum?

Not really a bug per se.

The hell you say, a 414 can EASILY be recreated.

I'm saying by the admins standards it's not really a bug. It's something that seriously needs to be corrected but they believe as long as everyone knows how to get around it that it's working as intended.

It isn't really a huge issue, most times people buying the team either figure it out or go to bugs/faq whatever and they get an answer.

But it would be nice, especially now that they separated out the auto-reorder it might make it even harder for people to realize the problem, if something could change in the team purchase process. Or if perhaps rather than having the CPU fill out every specialty ST spot with the same players, just fill out KRS/KOS and have it stop there. If that were done that would eliminate the problem without having to do anything fancy.

Just only allow CPU's to touch the K/P/KR/PR/LS and KRS and KOS.

I can think of several ways to fix this:

When a user clicks "purchase team", call the same routine that auto-reorders the depth charts once for each (offense, defense, special teams).

When a user clicks "purchase team", delete everything from the depth charts that exist for that team directly in the database.

Save all CPU depth charts are presets and when a user clicks "purchase team" the CPU presets are deleted.

Those are three options that come to me right off the top of my head. And, yes, this is a bug. The software is doing something unexpected based upon legitimate input (if the input is not legitimate, how can CPU teams use it).

Not true Dub, a bug is defined as an issue that shouldn't be there AND that can be duplicated, which this can.
I used to be a bugs mod until I no longer had the time to devote.
And not "everyone" knows how to fix it, as alindyl has pointed out repeatedly in regards to new owners.

The more you know....

Bump for next round of people buying teams and not being able to set their depth chart.

Yes, please do this!

This has got to be one of the most reported "bugs" and should be easy to prevent.
