Could you please explain the reasoning or thought process behind switching to a hard cap.

It was GLB's determination that the best way to make leagues competitive on a consistent basis was to group teams together based upon their age rather than their level. As there are ways to manipulate effective level, we also determined that would merely be a secondary factor in the placement of teams rather than the primary factor. One of the biggest complaints we have always received in support tickets, private messages, and customer surveys has been the lack of competition at the lower levels. This is one of the steps we are taking to address that.

Will there ever be some sort of penalty chart (on players profile) created to show the penalty when a player is placed into a position out of normalcy?

No.

You have an iphone app in the works...how about an android app?

I'm sure once we have the iPhone app and have determined it's success/failure that the possibility of an android app would follow.

when will every tactic be decided by a slider, and when will tactics be able to be situations (like for quarters and situations). i know that one would have a lot to do, but i think it is also time to have an "allow owner/cord to set tactics" checkbox

Not really a question more a suggestion. Answer to your question is "probably never in the manner you are requesting/thinking but possibly more options for some tactics."

When can we expect players to not just stop at the end of their route like they currently do? Catch, I know you mentioned in the Q&A thread that this was something being addressed in testing, but I was wondering if this would be something that would be taken care of for the Season 19 sim or if we will have to wait for Season 20 (or even beyond)?

Most of the pass game changes we are hoping to implement for season 19. Wrapping up testing of those things right now - so hopefully this change will be added at that time.

Soon is a relative term, but it is something we have on our development list.

can you give an update on simplifying OFF and DEF AI? Have any ideas been solidified?

We've already done a few things but until we have the new offensive and defensive plays/formations will we be able to complete the project, so it's still a ways off. It is something that is high on our priority list, however, and is one of our main focuses.

Any plans to add more Penalties? And have a Penalty stat? (Im curious how many False Starts my C has in his career).

No plan on adding more penalties. Penalty stat is not an impossibility - I'd suggest making a suggestion lol.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to recruit at lower levels. As in 4 cap, 14 cap, 18 cap = sometimes = ZERO players in market place. Once upon a time there used to be 2-4 pages to recruit from in every cap. Is this being looked into/cared about at all, or is end game leagues the complete focus like it seems?
Understandable since thats where the majority of flex comes from, but, since there are so few players being created.....long-term isnt looking so good. And lower leagues are getting mighty boring. (used to be a blast)

In my experience, players in their first few seasons create with the intent of going to a specific team or organization. Recruiting new players has always been harder if you are not doing so with this in mind. Recruiting is not something GLB can make easier for people. We can't make people create players nor can we make them remain free agents. It is up to the owners to coordinate efforts to try and put together their team.

That being said, however, with the introduction of the age based leagues, we believe that the lower leagues will not be nearly as boring as they used to be as teams will be competing on a much more even keel.

Will the answer put together in a summary thread or will they copied into the OP of this thread? Would it make much easier than searching inside.

Also when there will be a Q&A summary for the 10/20 Q&A thread?

No there won't be a summary thread. I'm deleting out all of the questions though and quoting with answers so that there is no clutter in the thread once I am done.

Is there any chance of adding tagging to the defensive play creator? I think it would make it easier when creating the DAI since you would only have to create one input instead of multiple to account for tagging.

If you have a suggestion on how to do this... and one that makes sense and is programmable, by all means make it. I'm not sure that adding tagging to the DPC would do what you think it does, however. You'd still have to create a separate play to handle a different tag.

Is there a rough ETA on any announcement regarding lvl 40 players/accelerated build process? Has the issue been discussed recently?

No rough ETA. It's on our list but is not high priority at this moment. We have discussed it recently.
