TY. I've kept an eye on the testing, and am fairly pleased with what I'm seeing. Just wanted to keep the hammer down on that one, for my own sanity.

I understand the logic of this statement, but you're going to need to revert a lot of the OL changes you've made to compensate for the coding issues. Chiefly, I'm concerned about blitzing becoming useless, as OL will almost always win the rolls when matched up against linebackers/secondary. The only way to blitz effectively in this game (atm) is to have a guy come completely free. Unless that is fixed, we're going to return to the glory days of 3-man rushes and 8 man zones.

We plan on revamping the blocking logic. It'll be much able to have it work correctly without the moving parts of the DPC.

i'm done with GLB after season 20 if this change actually takes place...

what a joke. what is the real problem?
i have yet to see any games between well balanced and well coached teams
that had any of these so called 'imbalance' issues.

the only issue is that ppl who don't know what they are doing complain too much.

the game works fine as it is, and has been getting better.
this kills any incentive i have to play the game.

what we need is an OFFENSIVE PLAY CREATOR
not the removal of the defensive play creator,
and we also need the programmers to stop basing their decisions
on the problems of people whose ability to complain is much greater than their ability to game plan.

if this change actually goes through, i can assure you of one paying customer becoming a former.

Great move by the Admins, this game was not improved by the DPC IMO.

If you think league balance is an issue now, wait until it makes a big difference just to have an average of one level on your opponent. When the math says my dots are stronger by 20 effective points it's going to be huge.

It's not like teams won't be able to coordinate. We're going to create a massive play library for coordinators to choose from.

it is absolutely impossible for you do this even remotely effectively.

i shudder at the thought that you guys came to the conclusion that this is possible. If you can't fix blocking logic, how the do you anticipate being able to create upwards for 1000 (a ridiculously low figure to begin with) plays to address DC needs at the top levels alone?

This. I am shocked that Bleeds or anyone else actually buys that this might work.

That massive library will be like the VA's...you have a ton but everyone uses the few that really work...

Good luck with that.

TBH, It would be pretty cool if you could get the blocking system tight enough that vision could be turned into a meaningful OL stat.

And how many issues is your revamping going to uncover?

So stop spending so much time trying to address blocking logic issues, and keep the DPC. And make defenders less omniscient. Like tragula said, give us some better offensive plays so that overload blitzes are less effective. For god's sake, I/Pro Set/Single Back don't have any screens to the weak side, Weak I's screen doesn't even have any blockers in front of it, 5WR doesn't have any screen passes at all, and there are only 2 WR screens in the whole game.

Pretty much this. Would strongly urge GLB to do this first before removing the DPC.

you don't think that the difficulty and time investment required to coordinate effectively has significantly aided in destroying parity?

even so, my point is not that there are fewer variables for the user to contend with (though that will be true and beneficial), its fewer variables that the admins have to address (or get caught off guard by) when making changes to balance the sim.

who wants parity?

why should stupid people win just cuz they complain?
you just don't get it...
