i would shoot for 60 on a balanced end build for your FB. Keep in mind, your question is completely dependant on how you envision him being used, so I am unable to provide a definitive response.

Are you going to be an all out blocking FB. If so then take that shit to the 80 cap. No need to put equipment into it but as a lead blocker you want to be able to hold your block longer. Pancakes help but are not necessary. The best FBs just push one LB completely out of the play. This should be your goal. Don't worry much about pancakes, worry more about your ability to hold and engage a block, which means speed. agility, blocking, and vision. Strength should only be taken to 70ish and then stopped.

80 is rather high.
Honestly 62 is enough, mainly focus on strength and agility which are rather important in the hold block roll and speed so that you can stay ahead of the HB to make the block.
But that's just my opinion, if you've found success with high blocking what were your other attributes at, and how does your dot perform?

uh since they're .5 majors I'd just go for 77.
The SA's on a blocking FB aren't that amazing so you can mostly go crazy on the top 4 attributes and bring speed up to 77+ as well.

Whats more important for a lead block FB strength or blocking? aird88 and Milehighshoes said each, but which one?

strength 68 - plus custom eq few extra eq end up near 100
blocking 68, ends up in low 80's
agility 73, ends up low 80's
vision 60, ends up near 68
speed 68 -plus eq, will be near 100
con 60, ends up near low 60's
stam near 50 from all training

sa's first step 7+3aeq=10 - get low 7+3aeq=10 , , plus a couple hold blocks
points left over to put in lead block to 9 plus one from custom = 10

Are you saying get to those caps in that order?

that is the order i am doing mine, he won t be so good till around level 32 on, but that is a general ideal of a build plan to go by, everyone has a different one or opinion, i am not doing anything with catching or carrying, just a pure blocking fb

Personally, I'd cap agility before blocking. Having agility higher is more important because there are more VAs to help blocking. Agility is hit hard when your player declines so capping it first gives a bit more buffer.

I'd say agility--> then Vision--> then blocking

Watching my FB progress strength is over rated as you will never be as strong as linemen. Give up on the idea your FB will be helping push NT's out of the way.

Agility helps him accelerate to keep him out in front of the HB until that first block.
Agility also helps prevent LB's and safeties from shedding blocks.
You only need enough strength to keep parity with the average outside linebacker.

In watching my FB progress he didn't actually act smart at all until Vision was over 60. 60 is about where you see the 'dumb' stuff stop. Like where the FB will pickup the wrong player, where he will hit the line of scrimmage & stop etc.. I'm feeling vision is the key to getting a blocking FB to actually perform the job of lead blocking at all.

I think most people over rate strength, but you may be under rating it a bit.

I'd say take up in order of agility, strength, blocking, vision, speed but put all your equipment in speed.

Personally at end build, I'd like to have about 90 in agility and strength, 85 blocking, 75-80 vision, 60 stamina and confidence, and every thing else in speed.

I agree, I think blocking is over rated. I didn't know my rushing FB was being used as a blocker. 51 pts in blocking, no blocking VA's, and he's been able to get the job done. IMO FB's need to hold a block long enough for the HB to run by.

I'd go with Rage Kinard's build order

All EQ in speed
agility > strength > blocking > vision > speed

It worked for mine in AAA as well. It even works against weaker Pro teams. However, 51 blocking vs. good defenses at Pro/WL level is horrid.
