I own a power back, and he's my project. I admittedly don't know a hell of a lot about the finer points of quality elusive backs, and a friend is really struggling with his, despite what I think is a very nice build.

What do you guys think?

Strength: 22.53
Speed: 63.58
Agility: 53.95
Jumping: 14.2
Stamina: 34.75
Vision: 42.04
Confidence: 20.28
Catching: 21.86
Carrying: 29.37

Elu: 3-2-3-4-1

Pow: 2-0-0-0-0

I'm thinking of telling him of boosting the Head Fake + Juke SAs way up, and letting his impressive natural abillities do the work?

Thoughts?

You need to get that confidence up to 25-30 for him to be really effective against good teams.

I agree with pumping up head fake and juke. Getting those to ten and above to maximize your RB will be really effective. I really believe that SA and the o-line make or break a RB as long as he has the natural stuff to back it up.

Your vision is good; but I agree with confidence and speed needing to be higher. I doubt you want to turn him into a combo back, so maybe strength is a waste of SP.

jack up your elusive tree now, (quick cut, head fake, and maybe some juke) and continue to raise speed accordingly. Dont touch strength, your not a power back. Also get a couple more pts on carrying as well.

Quick cut is pretty sick. I've seen a few HB's that just tear through and it looks like they never lose speed on their jukes and whatnot.
I assume its quick cut because I can't see their builds.

Strength is nice to have, no matter what type of RB you are.

Strength also helps reduce fumbles.
