whatever you need to keep in front of the HB.. or at least beat him to the first contact point.
Read further down about a guy that loaded his fb with spd/agi and the thought that was causing him to overshoot the first block he should have ben making and move out to pick up a guy in the secondary. I've no idea if thats a common issue but I suppose you could pass by an area before the defender was there to block... just something to maybe think about.

Is lead blocking just straight up broken?
