what 3 pieces of AEQ should be the best for a blocking FB-build?

+5% hold block / +3 STR
+1 pancake / +3 STR
+1 lead block? / +3 STR

so far I'm running +5 hold block and +1 get low sa (both with +3 stat of course)...It depends on what type of blocker you are, mine is a technique blocker and so I geared him that way...I took first step as my extra sa when I chose archetype, though you could pick get low and get a piece of + first step sa it doesn't matter either way but you'll want both imo...Lead block is good to max but you should be able to get it done with sps if you built your fb decently since it's so early in the tree...I would go with 2 pieces of hold block and 1 get low / first step depending on how you picked bonus sa...Keep in mind this is what I would do for a technique blocker, I can't really offer as much advice on a demoralizing blocker but I would think +pancake, +first step would be 2 to start with, then probably pummel for the 3rd...though it would make more sense to pick pummel as your extra sa in that situation rather than paying 60 bts to add it to a piece of aeq...

i don't understand why you would need hold block? the full back blocks and moves on to the next man trying to keep ahead of the rb, yes?

You shouldnt take it too literally: it isnt really Hold block %, think of it as Win Block %.

As every block has you fighting with the defender, you first have to win or hold the block then after that you have a chance to pancake or push the defender back. Both of those second rolls use the hold/win block score as input so you'll have more chacne to push back or pancake. Also if the defender wins the hold/win block roll you might get reverse pancaked or pushed back yourself.
So even for a FB who just needs a second of blocking it's a good AEQ.
