Second one is sacks and hurries. QB drops back 35 times and is sacked or hurried 27 times. Bit much IMO.

Sim should be based on the strengths and weaknesses of each player. That is how the players are built. A DE should get by a lesser player more than he does a better player. Seems like he gets by almost every time.

+1 on the sacks and hurries...it's terrible and no way to really fix it. Good DEs beat good OTs every time.

Also the QB pass selection is horrifying. When primary receiver is triple covered and 2 other receivers are single covered even
High School QBs know they shouldn't throw it to the triple covered guy, yet the sim regularly does.

I gotta agree with the passing game fixes from the guys above me. The passing game needs to be improved at all levels. QBs and WRs cost way to much for them to be non-existent for the first 30 or so levels.

1. GLB NEEDS someone on the developmental staff who has a wealth of MMORPG experience. I'd say about 10 years or so. So many of the problems we encounter in GLB have already been dealt with in other MMOs. A historian, of sorts. I can not stress enough how much that would help. This may not seem sim-related, but it is.

2. Passing quality needs to scale with distance more dramatically. Allowing long passes to be completed as easily as short passes (all things equal) is a recipe for disaster and it is unrealistic.

3. The OL/DL interaction shouldn't be so extreme. Every battle shouldn't end in a pancake or revcake. There should be disengagement, push backs, shed-arounds, etc., but the linemen should be on their feet most of the time. Also, blockers should get more of a bonus for double or triple blocking opponents.

4. We should have more control over the speed of the QB progression. Perhaps something in the OAI, per play. A setting, slider, dial... whatever.

+1 on passing being viable at all player levels. I know it would be tough to balance, but it shouldn't be impossible.

WRs with very low STR and BLK effectively blocking two defenders at once

I have to echo the call to fix passing, especially the pass rush. It seems that the biggest problem is short passes. The passing game is almost a trick play now. Also, I'd like to see less interception returns for touchdowns. It seems like roughly 3/4 of all interceptions are pick 6. Even when Deion Sanders was in his prime, he didn't take it to the house close to that often.

Well at the moment most people are saying the passing sim needs most work. Most of the other things listed are changes more than current sim problems so I don't think they should even be looked at. for more people to be happy in a big picture way there's really only 2 things that might be able to be fixed in a somewhat easy manner. First off would be the passing game, for one, like someone else stated why would a QB pass to a rcvr who is triple covered as opposed to the single covered rcvr who has a lot better chance at the ball, also long passes should be completed a lot less often than short passes (in real life you don't see more people catching the lobbed 40 yard over the shoulder while running full speed with a CB on your heels being caught more often than the quick short TE dump or HB dump), and the QB's get sacked WAY more often than they should, which brings me to the second problem which is the O-line and D-line interaction. Ive seen hundreds of times where a OT will block to the inside doubling up on a DT with a G only to let the DE barrel rush the QB, or DE's bum rushing around a blocking HB or FB without his speed even being effected by a Back in the way just runs around them for a sack.. and so on and so forth, there's a lot of things I could list but because of these bad interactions the result is an unrealistic amount of sacks, pancakes, and hurried balls... fixing this problem would also in turn help with the passing game problem.... They completely coincide with each other. If these 2 major problems could be looked at and possibly fixed then stats would look a lot more realistic and agents would not be mad at spending 300 FP only to be turned into a blocker for run plays resulting in no actual stats.

Why do rushers seem to run right at CB and FS/SS that have blockers on them.

The moral drain between the offensive players and defensive players seems to be out of wack. I put a thread about this in the bugs section as well. I am in a level 42 league with linemen in the 50-60 range for confidence and even on good offensive days, we get way too many sad faces on the linemen not even half way through the game. I rarely see this happen to a defense, even in blowout games. I have seen defenses tired before, but not sad faced, even when they are getting crushed.

Seems to me that confidence is far more important for an offense, especially linemen, than for defenses. This might be really critical next season as the rest of the planned changes involving confidence come into play.

I've only played levels 4 through AAA.

1)The passing game works pretty well, if it was as broken as some believe it wouldn't work for anyone.
2) Some QBs do well, some don't. Looks like a build/tactics issue to me.
3) Some kick returners do well, some don't, looks like a build/tactics issue to me.
4) Some WRs consistently dominate CBs some don't, looks like a build/tactics issue to me.

It's simple logic guys, not my opinion.

This, or when the TE runs between the OT and DE to block the LB. I've never seen a player squeeze his way between a blocker and a rusher when they are engaged.

And penalties.

Just get rid of them, they really add nothing to the game but frustration.

If you want it to be realistic, you need to look at the ability to make players. It's easier for me to make a speed DE with crazy speed and not sacrifice anything major for him to be that way. If I make a CB with crazy speed he probably won't be able to jump or have high vision. It should either be harder to make an unrealistic build, or easier to make more well rounded players. Until there is realism in that I think it's tough to make a realistic game like everyone wants. Maybe positional attribute caps or something, IDK.

+1 Fix the passing game this season.(QB / WR) Its broken, its not a build/tactics issue.

NOt sure if its been mentioned but at the peewee level Fakes are way over powered. Even in double coverage pump fakes are faking out both defenders leaving Wrs one on one. They fire way too many times a game. The Defenders come to a complete stop pretty much while the Wrs run 10 yds past the faked player.

Also agree on penalties, seriously we don't need them.
