The idea has been proposed to try to get a collaborative agreement in as many Leagues as possible to just not boost and buy CE.

This would allow for us all to continue to enjoy playing the game without having to submit to the money trap that is playing peewee, as compared to the other leagues.

Mostly this is in an effort to initiate change in the Flex Point refund process for one and done pee-wee players, who as is cost at least 50% more than a standard boosting and CE player sustained through his career.

Please post in the forum any input you have, so far we have come up with several ideas to enforce this, including:

Persuading all tournament organizers to require non-boosting/non-CE.
Blacklisting Boost/CE Agents from participating on teams and in tournaments in the future (Essentially if you let "Agent X" who boosted (clearly intentionally, a board would likely need to be elected) the seasons before on your team, you can say goodbye to friendly scrimmages and fun tournaments.

I, and I'm sure plenty of other probably better coordinators would be more than willing to aide teams who are matched against the one team that is trying to ruin everything.

At least check it out, as this is something effecting all of us on our way to, and our attempt to stay in the Gold pee-wee league.

and also shows that I'm not willing to show enough dedication to overcome that, in my opinion our outcry has at least been heard, I won't be getting banned to make a point though.

What catch failed to realize was that the so called blacklisting would be for people that joined ""organization"" and did not follow the rules not for people that did not.
I guess now you are not allowed to help any team that you do not own.

apparently not... its okay... I'd bother to PM him and explain it, or post an apology topic... but it would likely only lead to me getting banned somehow.

It is funny how everything is an organization to him.

I personally like the idea and support it, mainly for selfish reasons as it would allow my existing flex to last longer and therefore, draw out my stay in GLB. However these are my own views, and they are not necessarily shared by the teams I build dots for.

I actually PMed Catch about the topic... I didn't tell him to delete the thread and I did propose some changes to him.

My guess is that it would be hard for a league to enforce any such types of rules... if a team wanted to boost or buy CE, what is to stop them? So without GLB's backing in the making and enforcing of this rule, then it's only a paper dream. If you ever get Catch's ear again, DTD, give him this to ponder... have GLB do a 'MLB' style idea and have 2 seperate 'styles'. Perhaps all the 'EAST' divisions could incorperate such an automatic rule while 'WEST' divisions could stay the same (kind-a like a DH leage and a No DH league). Teams could then choose their 'style' and GLB could place those teams based on a combination of 'desired style of play' and 'ownership seniority' The second would be needed to make sure leagues remain balanced in the number of teams... in case too many teams desired a specific style over the other. As a game, when trying to appeal to a variety of people, it is wise to allow for a variety of styles of play.

In Catch's private forum I asked him about this issue and he had a suggestion. I've posted this suggestion in the many forum: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4005023 .

Basically, instead of spending 900 flex for CEQ and then getting 630 back at the end of the season, make a special PeeWee custom that just costs 120/30 (150 total) upfront and is non-refundable.

I think this is good. First, it decreases the investment cost of creating players (instead of having to spend 1700 for a defensive player (and get 1310 back), you would spend 950 (and get 680 back). Second, it helps bridge some of the cost gap. Third, I think it makes it a lot easier for teams to suit up in CEQ making the game more even/fair.

I agree with all of you but on our Pee Wee team most agents are keeping their players and builds are not has good has a 1 and out player and they need to boost if they want to compete. The players i keep are not built to be good Pee Wee plays but more for the long run.( look at the Championship game tonight, The team we play...they are all own by one owner and all are level 10 with builds better then our players which agents want to keep their players ) EX If I create a OL I'm going to max strength and not worry about blocking or agility until I get to 74 strength..... A one and out player is a lot more balanced and is a better Pee Wee player then the others...The reason I got a Pee Wee team was to make players rich so our teams didn't have to pay for level 16 and 24 eq upgrades. But now times have changed and its back to... if you want to keep a player you should be in the D-league.

What GLB would like (I'm sure) is something that both works for people who are 'player success oriented' and people that are 'team success oriented' What I see (and hear for folks) is that these things do NOT go together well right now. I too have seen teams built solely for the purpose of the team's success... many filled with either the team owner's players or a select few poeple's players willing to spend/do whatever it takes to make the 'team' win and move up. I would guess that 75-09% of the players on those teams will be 'retired' at seasons end and new players will be made up for next season. In the upper leagues, this usually doesn't exist... but in pee-wee leagues, it's everywhere. GLB needs to have different opperating proceedures for peewee leagues simply because it IS a different beast. I think having a 'Players'-style league where boosting and CE is not allowed and a 'Team' style league where it's not only allowed but mandated or, at least, highly encouraged... is the answer. Let team owners and player owners declare their styles when building a player or purchasing a team and place them in the appropriate leagues. This allows for individualism of playing/team philophies while making sure the playing fields are level across the board which gives everyone enjoyment. Just my take.
