I lost my FB and only have speed RB's on the roster....how bad would it hurt me to put a solid receiving TE in the FB slot? Has anyone tried it?

Thanks....

How many speed RB's do you have? I often use speed HB's as FB receivers if I'm using a 3-headed HB attack, although I try to avoid FB routes as much as possible due to the OOP.

If it's a receiving TE as you say, that's a bad idea if you plan to have your FB block for your HB. You're shooting the TE's energy/morale in the foot since receiving TE's favor high catching, speed, and agility at the expense of strength/blocking. Don't be surprised if the TE gets pancaked, compromising his morale, although I'd have to see his build.

You're really better off finding some scrub FB in free agency and throwing him in. That way you're not detracting from your receiving TE and speed backs. Bort's nerf to offensive energy/morale has made depth more important imho. Don't make it worse on yourself by detracting from other positions. Pursue free agency.

Most blocking TEs probably don't have the speed necessary to be useful as a blocking FB.

I've used TE at FB and it works fine.
