there needs to be a combination of variability and simplicity. Right now it makes the head hurt and sim trying to sort through the options and potentials and how to build a good dot to play dotball in terms of proposed changes. The fact is the "builds" are still dependent on how Bort has factored the qualities into the forumulas and game. These proposals add too much complexicty while increasing variability. SOmeone pointed out you have too many different things.
Resource points
shopping tokens
bonus tokens
training points
veteran points
equiptment
advanced equipment
and so on.
THere really has to be a way to make it simple yet have variation and even earned levels to satify the RPG geek in bort.

Isn't the way to support diverse builds...to actually have some equivalency to stats?

Really, if a 100 jumping LB with 20 speed had a use in the game, then we wouldn't have everyone with 100 speed and 20 jumping. (oversimplified, dumbed down example)

The way to support diversity is through the SIM, not through complex player building structures.

Want to make a positive change? Get rid of the prohibitive costs paired with declining results for both stat gain and SAs. Why should there be diminishing returns for SAs when the cost also goes up each level? Why did AE need to get easier to obtain? That removed a ton of individuality.

it will devolve into "cookie cutter" as what is most effective, which with as many variables as suggested or even understood gets to be difficult to sort out. Bigger problem is adding options to stuff that doesn't work in the first place.

Is it going to take longer to upgrade AEQ?

Why are you changing the training system. It works good already

Guys, how is having more options to train your player a bad thing?

As it is now, it takes 2 click to train your player, and if you are training on intense you do this every 2-3 days.

How are any of you mad about more options, and the ability to support a little more aeq, and get more sp's for your players builds?

Well, just this.

I think the beauty of the current training system is the simple nature of it, while still being very complex

It is a way to play this game without having to be on daily, you can play while logging on once maybe twice a week, AND still be very good at it.
Now with pr game bonuses etc, it seems like you need to be on at least daily to keep up with wishes from your owners on bonus boosts, and there is a lot more math going into figuring out how to best spend those BTs.

And the most important thing...building now is actually very complex, I dont know too many good builders who think it is too easy. And the forums overflow with people discussing build plans and whether or not to cap this or that at 73 or 78 etc. Whether to do something differently than everyone else...etc..etc

Last thing...I am not against changes overall, and fully support the (currently shaping up) changes to finances, bc the part of the game was meaningless and had serious problems with cash farm teams etc. I am also on board with coaches. And I wont join the Rage Quitting Choir bc of the training changes either, I just dont think there is any reason to mess with a perfectly good system.

With the new system, do shopping tokens only refresh the AEQ page? And in order to purchase higher leveled equipment, you have to use 1 shopping token + 20-100 bonus tokens depending on the level?

I would like the option you provided with Archetypes- Older player's should be able to choose if they want into this training system or if they want to remain in the old training system. All new players should have it, but this will severely impact my older builds in addition to being extremely complicated. Please give older players the option of sticking with the old system until those players are retired.

Thanks.

1) Carry-over BT should be tripled TBPH, otherwise people will just sell their AEQ and use all their BT on SP before next season... thus gaining 33% more efficiency from those BT.

2) Remove temp boosting and add a consumables store. Consumables could be things like energy drinks and power bars, giving temporary bonuses to all types of things (not just attributes, but things like football actions too). BT could be the currency used to purchase these items. Code it so only 1 consumable can be active at a time. Make the cost reasonable for the benefit... +1 to attributes should cost maybe 2-3 BT, +5 to attributes and +10% break tackle chance should cost 20-30 BT, etc... this way players have the option of having a minor boost all the time or a big boost every so often (in exchange for sacrificing other BT options). The math would need to be done to figure out a fair balance of cost vs effect. If one training option is clearly more efficient, it will lead to cookie cutter training.

3) Remove the casino element from AEQ shopping. Give EQ ranks and levels, rank 1 = standard EQ, rank 2 = AEQ with only a prefix, rank 3 = AEQ with both a prefix and a suffix. Levels would be the number of upgrades available. Make it cost "X" amount of BT to level up and rank up EQ, allowing players to choose the prefix and suffix. Make each upgrade cost BT, determined based on balance of cost vs effectiveness. Give it a Diablo-esque feel. Something like...

Sturdy Black Cleats of the Juggernaut (R3/L9): +3 strength, +9 attributes, +20% break tackle chance.

4) I like the direction of these changes, but the implementation needs some work. Having viable options when it comes to training is a good thing, as it builds diversity, but it has to be balanced to be successful.
