Yeah, with only 1 game the Gongadan/Foster script still doesn't have a clue, so it's just giving you all the teams in the order listed on the league page, same as Griffin's. This has the effect of basically sorting the top West teams to the top, then the bottom West teams, then the top East teams, then the bottom East teams.

Even the Graph script is clueless at this point, but at least it's sorting all of the undefeateds to the top, and all of the winless teams to the bottom. But within those groups, it's still all 8 west teams, then all 8 east teams.

I'm not even in this league and I'm really interested to see how the rankings will look after the next game.

So do none of these scripts factor in in-game performance? I might have to do my rankings again that I did by hand back in Copper 6, based of LordEvil's Matchup Excel.

I don't know about the other scripts, but my script (and garrettfoster's before it) just uses the scores of the games to generate rankings. My script also generates matchup predictions which are also based purely on the score.

There was a guy in my copper league last season (Westwind http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3826998&page=1#33972819 ) that generated rankings that included performance vs. the pass or the run. They were interesting.

I'm considering some sweeping modifications to the power rankings script that I'm using. Large portions of it are still garrettfoster's code, and there are still some calculation methods that I would like to change. Unfortunately I'm buried right now, between the tennis team and my master's classes, so it'll probably be mid-may or later before I can devote much time to this or anything else.

Once I get time, I'd like to try my hand at ranking all 544 pee wee teams. With all the tournaments and whatnot that are in place, there are a lot of cross-league games that would help sort out the rankings between leagues. One issue are the non-ranked and private scrimmages where people are just goofing off or trying some particular facet of their AI in a non-competitive game, but I could control for that by reducing the weight of all scrimmages that aren't ranked.
