No I understand the mathematical reasoning for it and the flaws with doing this over one preseason game. I'm more intrigued by the possible differences in the three scripts and how a unified ranking system might be a better interpretation of team performance.

A fundamental flaw may come from unified methods for calculating similar stats among the three scripts. For instance, if all three are using the same method for calculating Strength of Schedule then it will skew rankings a bit.

ha ha, I was just kidding. Was surprised to see my rankings in your post.

I like the idea of averaging multiple ranking methodologies. If I remember, I'll check back into this league a couple of times during the season to see how the ranking methods compare.

I haven't really studied the other two scripts in any detail (glanced over Griff's to make sure it wasn't based on the same algorithm as mine because of the similarity of ranks after the first scrim), but it appears that all three are using different methods of calculating relative power.
