The nice thing about being able to test the game to make sure that it works in Pee Wee is that the builds aren't able to be crazy. There's no SSBing and there isn't a huge disparity in builds because they are often one and done type builds. Many of us even (god forbid) take catching to the first cap on our WRs.

There aren't that many builds that need to be tested and it would be a good baseline to see if the tweaks that you make for the level 70 player aren't destroying the Pee Wee game.

Why does there have to be ONE SIM that is supposed to be able to provide good play for level 1s' 20s, 40s, 60s, and 70s? Doesn't this seem absurd when you think about it? There should be different SIMs designed to work ideally for different league levels. It's the only way you can really ensure good game play at all levels of competition.

And the first step toward doing that would be to have a few different test SIMs set up for different levels: 1-20; 20-40; 40-70 perhaps?

And it shouldn't be impossible. It isn't like you have to redesign the wheel for each one. The basic SIM is consistent but you tweak it for each stage of levels.

so what happens when a level 39 plays a level 40?

They play on the level 40 sim. Thus the level 39 guy is at a disadvantage, as they should be.

So now that the new season is started... any word on if we will be testing Pee Wee any time soon?

Because I'm going to go ahead and declare that:

a) Kicking is going to be even more of a fail than it was last season. Kicks from the 15 yard line didn't work last season, I'm guessing that they will be even more likely to miss this season.
b) New Morale and Energy usage makes Pee Wee players give up some weird plays
c) Aura of Intimidation causes super blue-sad face.
d) QBs will be unable to pass the ball come playoffs when the low-level boost wears off.

1) Kicking looks fine to me when people actually put kickers at the kicker position. Pee Wee players will never be great at kicking.

2) We barely adjusted morale and energy fwiw, but because of the icons you can tell when it affects players more. Also what do you expect, Pee Wee players typically put nothing into stamina.

3) Show me a Pee Wee player that puts points into SA's please?

4) Why don't we complain about something when it actually happens rather then predicting it'll happen.

The answer to your first question though is it's not high priority but it is something that will be done eventually.

1) Last season kicking was bunk already and it has been further nerfed.

We can't punt from inside the 30 and can't make a field goal from outside of the 10, so there is a whole section of field where you are forced to go for it on fourth down.

2) Anyway, I just know that small adjustments to how the game is played in the WL makes massive differences to how the game is played in Pee Wee. That's WHY Bort gave us the passing game bump two seasons ago... the WL passing 'tweak' made it impossible to throw the ball in PW.

3) http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1998884 - STOP player with 6 points into Aura. Pee Wee's don't have confidence, so I'm going to exploit it.

4) I'm pretty good at making predictions.

Pee Wee is what keeps me coming back every season... I started the thread about Pee Wee Gold because I care about what happens to those little dots, even when the rest of the sim is only looking at levels 56-75.

I have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't... but if you don't believe me, I'll update you with some stats later in the season.

the only viable solution is to vastly speed up the player building process. We're talking two-fold at least, if not three-fold.

2) Yeah I noticed. There was all this hype about these two stats actually starting to mean more, but I went through the WL games and couldn't find any sad faces in the 4th quarters. I was really hoping for a bit more out of these two stats, but I know there was some complaining from many long time users, so of course nothing much happened....business as usual on this issue.

KR not blocking on kick-offs where the ball is fielded by a Wedge player = low-level problem, so never tested.

I guess you won't see it in WL/PL until people start taking their kickers out so that Wedge players fumble the ball. I'm sure it is an easy fix, but I hope it shows that not everything can be tested using L70 players.
