+1000000

You build players to go the distance in this game. At least most serious agents who are spending a lot of $$$ do. And most teams can't afford to buy them 64 equipment let alone 72. So agents will either gravitate toward the teams that can pay out or they will retire. Neither of these is ideal obviously. Who doesn't want to finish their career knowing they are maxed at everything they can be?

I would like to say not only money causes the guts, it gets very very hard to compete at the top level in this game. That has a hand in the guts as well.

Its like a team purchasing their own gym room where equipment are stored for players to use. The team can purchase to upgrade these equipment (obviously getting expensive the higher they upgrade become, same as the current setup of EQs). The thing that is good about this is that this equipments will remain with the team once the player(s) leave the team.

On top of these, there are equipments that players can purchase themselves (must be a lot cheaper than those team-owned equipments). These equipments will obviously be worn by the players and won't be left to the team once the players leave the team.

Additionally, it would be nice that the team money will grow via some kind of bank interest. I mean, ticket sales/concession sales are good but obviously there should be a way to get these income to grow. Probably via stocks (?) or something where the team can put a portion of their money and let it grow and then they can withdraw or if the team wants to reinvest it.

I like this idea. My team has been penalized by higher level teams gutting and rebuilding. We've made it all of the way to AAA with pretty much our original guys and have never had a home playoff game. Have we made mistakes with our cash, sure. Early promotions (which I was happy to promote, after all that's why you play the game) usually led to a few seasons of butt whoopings, which of course reduces fan support and how much money you have available to fund equipment. We've tried to do it right, but have suffered significantly. You almost have to gut your team and rebuild if you want to be competitive in the Pros and World Leagues or open the door up for what has happened.

I think something else that should be looked at are the Peewee leagues. Teams here are now juicing up their players with all of the team's cash so these guys have money to fund equipment. Once again, it almost makes you have to have a farm system to keep players equipped.

It would also be interesting to tie equipment "level" to the team league they are in.

League.........Equip they can own
WL.................up to +11 attribute
PRO..............up to +9 attribute
AAA...............up to +7 attribute
AA..................up to +5 attribute
etc....

This would promote the idea that as teams move up the ladder, they will be able to offer players better EQ. Perhaps as part of the contract, it can be signing bonus + salary + equip outfitted @ signing. Of course later the team could give the player better equipment, etc...

I'd like the "agent" of the player to get a cut of the money. If you, as an agent, take 20% of a players earnings, after a few season you'll have enough to buy a piece for any player you have (provided you have a couple players).

You could add that money to a players EQ fund so the team wouldn't have to fork over the entire amount (or simply buy a piece outright).

Or make another category of Agent EQ that you can buy for a player.

I think that one of the big downfalls of EQ cash is that most players only seem to want to play for teams w/ EQ funds where the team pays for everything. Meanwhile, they have 350k on hand with nothing to buy.

Player buys his own BASE EQ up to level 32 which at that time also opens the magical AEQ box. Team begins paying for all level 40 and beyond BASE EQ upgrades at the same pay scale as player did starting at the same price player did at level 1-32.

From level 32 beyond player pays for any purchased AEQ and upgrades with cash/BT's and team pays for basic upgrades.

Of course there are some wrinkles but this is on the fly and off the top of my head , this would make a player contract ACTUALLY have some meaning , also allows a new team 4 seasons to get their finances in order as well as allow a player to do something with 4 seasons of salary and beyond. TBH we don't need even MORE complicated things for the game , there is a pretty easy solution out there somewhere.
