Does anyone else notice that their punt average is off? I calculated mine last game and it should've been about 39 yards per punt instead of 33 as it lists me right now. What could cause this? Touchbacks, or return yards? Let me know if anyone else has this problem.

Anybody know the best way to avoid touchbacks? Touchbacks are killing me. I kick the ball pretty well, but end up with 2-3 touchbacks a game. I am training my vision right now...should that help?

I am guessing here, but I would bet that confidence and vision will help.

Confidence should not be a problem. I am over 40 in that. My vision is over 20 now...hopefully I will see a change in tomorrows game.

Net would include runbacks also. It's pretty much a hybrid of net & gross. Basically it's gross minus touchbacks.

I was at an average of 36.8 yards a boot today. My shortest punt was of 38 yards, which must attribute to the odd formula used to calculate averages.

5 more touchbacks for me. It really killed my average. I was kicking 47-48 yarders, but the dang touchbacks killed me.

It averages the return yards against you. If you kick a 50 yard punt, and they return it for 10, your average punt was 40 yards. Because Special Teams is just that...a team based operation. You count on your other teammates for your stats.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't. I'll take my stats from last game to show that it is net average:
2-64 (32 yrd average).
1:54 4th & 11 OWN 33.5 Punt by Newer Player, 40 yd, fielded by Steve Holla atcha bo Smitty (17.5 yd return) [tackle: Roland "Champ" Bailey]
8:22 4th & 2 OPP 46 Punt by Newer Player, 24 yd, fielded by Steve Holla atcha bo Smitty (10 yd return) [tackle: Roland "Champ" Bailey]
(40 + 24)/2 = 32
EDIT- If it is a touchback, take 20 yards off of the punt, because on a touchback they start at the 20.

I've been upping Calm Nerves on my lvl 19 punter. So far he's had 24 punts this season with only 1 touchback. Might be coincidence but I don't know.
