Hi everyone!
I am the new Admin and I am going to be spending a lot of time with GLB players helping them improve this game and address their issues and concerns. For more information about what exactly my role will be, please read my 2nd response in the Introduction thread in Announcements.
A little background about me. I have been playing GLB since nearly the beginning and have been helping out with Bugs and the test server for about a year. I've spent a lot of time learning the game and it's various workings. I am very familiar and comfortable with all aspects of the game and feel that this knowledge will allow me to provide a unique Admin perspective.
After some deliberation we have decided how the Q & A session is going to take place. Users can submit ONE question (if you send an e-mail with more than one question, I will delete it without even looking at it) to questions@goallineblitz.com - we will go through and take the best questions and collect the answers and post them in a stickied and locked thread. Then for 2-3 hours we will open up a thread where the Admins and players can get together to discuss these questions and answers. All forum rules will apply during this discussion. We'll do our best to answer all questions, but if your question is not answered, please resubmit it for the next week's session. At the end of the forum chat session, the thread will be locked and any updates or new questions/answers will be added to the original stickied and locked thread. Look forward to seeing you all there!
There will be random drawings from all users who submit a question (must follow the one question rule) with the following prizes being given - to be eligible for the drawing you must state your username in your e-mail. Limit one entry. Deadline for entries/questions is Friday at noon Pacific time.
(2) 10,000 flex
(2) 5,000 flex
(5) 1,000 flex
(10) 500 flex
Winners will be announced since the flex is coming from me personally.
The first Q & A will be this Saturday, January 16th, at 6 p.m. Pacific Time in the General Forum. The times and days of these will rotate randomly to allow all players an opportunity to take part in one.
I'll keep this thread open for now and welcome any ideas that you might have about the Q & A. Please keep it civil and on topic though or I will lock it.
Edit: We're going to discuss the specifics on how to do this and I will update the thread when we've come to a decision.
