Warrior General Games

Unfortunately, I'm out of town and for some reason I can't get my script to work on this laptop. Not sure what the story is. But it means I can't provide rankings for the next few days unless I can sort it out.

I can say that this was a heck of a week for Silver 5. There were some blowouts, but there were also a number of very close games. Here are the highlights:

Ohio Rage gave up more points than they have all season, but managed to pull out the win anyway in a 24-21 win over the Wolverines.

The Hairyfeet and SOSC were locked in a scoreless defensive struggle until the fourth quarter, when HHF finally managed a field goal, and won 3-0.

After a disappointing start to the season, Gondwana pulled out a big win on the Darkus Blacks, giving the Blacks a taste of their own giant-killing medicine.

The Oahu Firebirds muzzled the Mudpuppies, never giving up the lead in a relatively close game.

Good games, guys. Got some more good ones slated for New Year's Eve.

Yeah, Gondwana is a dark horse. They have a very good defense and special teams. I don't want to play Gondwana's come playoff time. They might have a few tricks up their sleeve.

I'm just as baffled as Gong by these. We beat Midland (in a game that my defense underperformed) and they move up and we go down? And how is Midland better than Darkus and Montgomery and Wolves because of this?

Actually Darkus and Wolves both lost as well irrelevant. And Midland still has a stronger SoS then Montgomery and they just barely lost. While I think Montgomery should be above Midland, overall the rankings look accurate to me. And we didn't go down, we went up from 14 to 9 in our ranking. Our SoS also went up a bit too so it seems like the rankings are as they should be.
