Some exciting matchups tonight. Ohio Rage continued their defensive dominance, the STARS and the Hobbits meet somewhere in the middle, the Headbangers would rather fight than Flight, and the Savior save their perfect record from the voracious Wolverines. The Firebirds rise from the ashes, keeping the Mailmen disgruntled and the Mudpuppies continue their undefeated and unrespected record.

dont worry, he will bottle it again in the playoffs lol.
and youve got to smile about your rankings not loving him

SAS are a bloody good team. end of. i hope Ed knows that i am only hurting after the way in which our O and D line didnt compete. if i was a betting man, i would say he token boosted. which i am sure you cant do in the playoffs...

a fine win though, whatever he felt he needed to do.

Personally, I think the ratings are fine the way they are. Strength of Schedule (larger number means harder schedule right?) plays a big part in determining how meaningful those off/def rankings are. Still, I do think that Montgomery Manglers should be in the #5 spot personally but no worries. Over the next 2 games, the true colors will show for the best teams.

Yeah, we're only 3-3 but ranked 7th. I think that's because the games we've lost are against undefeated teams. SOS is .694

You know, by the way: I just got a whole lot more impressed with SAS and Ohio Rage. I added a custom EQ checker to the roster enhancement script, and it appears that not a single member of either SAS or Ohio Rage is wearing CEQ.

That, or my script is buggy. I didn't look through everybody in the league, just the undefeated guys. Nice work, SAS and OR.

Correct, none of my players have CE, and none will ever boost either.

So, by the looks of it, you just make Pee-Wees every year, and dominate?

Smart idea tbh.

I'm pretty sure he only just started having a team of 1 person last season. But yeah having CE or boosting when you are planning to redo a peewee team again next year seems quite a bit silly. Especially since you can perfectly make players for the target position and have full unity you already have a big advantage over others. You don't have to worry about inactivity for instance

i was the only non dead ed guy on last years SAS team(or at least i think i was). the unity and coordination of token boosts, plus building purely for one season of peewee, imo is a huge bonus. i think as youve pointed out, doing this is a bigger advantage than a smattering of CE and boosters. a full team of CE, boosters and coordinated... well then youre looking at the elite of gold, who also build throwaway one season builds.

it is definately an advantage over how we do it. because we use the three wolverine teams to take guys from peewee, to 14 to 22, and we build longer term. our builds dont even start taking shape until the end of the first season. you definately build a completely different way for peewee. we are happy to take the long term view though, as we feel each agent gets the most out of their dots and can grow within a "safe/friendly" environment and be ready to move on with the ones theyre happy with. if we win things along the way, then wonderful, if we dont...we dont. we are reasonably competitive in each of the three teams and have fun. its a win win for us doing it this way.

Season 10 was all my own players. Season 11 I had a friend create about 3-4, rest were my own. Season 12 had bigg create a TE, rest were mine. This season, 4 players are not my own, 3 from a friend, and 1 from a guy who was a GM for the Butte Pirates, a team I played against in season 10.
I was actually planning on recruiting more players each year, but haven't had much luck.

Thanks Gong!

Right, like D.E.'s SAS, Ohio Rage doesn't boost or use CE. Our owner and GMs have connections to some higher level teams, and a few of our agents keep players around for those purposes, but most of our guys are retired at the end of the season to recover the flex points for another pee-wee team. Also, we don't buy flex points. I think only one of our agents has ever purchased flex points, and it was the smallest amount you can buy. It has been a very difficult chore to recruit all the players we need. Thankfully, most of them come from a circle of friends in SW Ohio (the Dayton area, actually), so we can actually call each other to get things done, instead of relying on email and PMs.

We picked up the AI a few seasons ago (middle of season 10, but had a pretty lousy roster and lost in the first round of playoffs to the Nebraska Soul Assassins (but we gave them a tougher game than they had ever seen!). Then the leagues were reorganized into copper, silver, and gold (nebraska went to gold, we went here). The next season we had a slightly better roster and pretty good O/D AIs, but SAS, the Wolverine's, the Dayton Flight (the other S5 Ohio team, hehe), and another team that's now CPU all took us down both in regular season and in playoffs. Last season we had a 55-man roster of day 33 or better guys and did well, SAS did a very very nice job of game planning and took us out in the conference championship. I'm sure if D.E. was a booster, he'd have torn up ETMR and would now be in gold.

I'm glad to see the competition in silver 5, especially now that we all are building some history together. It's especially cool that teams from gold go back to the silver league they came from. Seeing Bigg's Wolverine's again is making for a funner season.

Hello Everyone,

I have been reading this forum for a several weeks now, and everyone seems to have good respect for the other owners.

Last season was my first in GLB. The Manglers went 10-6, then lost in 1st round to a much more experienced team. I also have a Minors Lv 14 #5 (Western Conference) team, the Buffalo Bulls running CPU players all of last season and this season to build up stadium and bankroll.

As I am sure most of you have guessed, I have boosted and have CE on some of the Manglers players. All of these players will be continuing thier careers on the my mother team the Bulls. Next year I will be creating more players for the Manglers and plan to try to be competative without boosting or using CE.

I look forward to building good rivalries with you and wish you success this season(other than the week you play the Manglers).O_o
