Warrior General Games

Last year, in my copper league, we sort of rooted for one another in the various tournaments. It was fun, and I think we should continue that here, especially since the teams in Silver 5 are probably more likely to go deep in the tournaments than the teams in Copper 14 were.

SUMMARY
Silver 5 in the Silver tourney: 1-3 (STARS, Rockwall, and Gondwana)

Silver 5 in the Official tourney: 9-7 (STARS, Hobbittown, SAS, Silkroad, the Wolverines, Circle of Trust, and the Mailmen)

Silver 5 in Halo's Tourney: 2-3 (SAS, Rockwall, Gondwana)

Silver 5 in the Air Attack: 5-3 (STARS, SAS, Gondwana, Darkus Blacks*)
Still alive: SAS

Silver 5 in the MM Invitational (PIT): 1-2* (Gondwana, SEC Boyz (CPU--forfeit))

Just got outed from the Official Tourney, Lost to Insane Asylum. , games like that make me want to just stop playing GLB.
Currently in the 2nd round of Halo's Tourney, I play Rookietown Raiders (Gold Team) tomorrow. Will probably get my ass kicked.
Signed up for Air Attack, hasn't started. Still in the Gold survivor league, if that counts. Don't think I'm in any others, I'm not in the Silver tourney, I hate the guy that runs it, he's an idiot. I wish the FTW tourney would have returned.

Wow, you got some shitty draws. TIA is ...insanely good. Bad puns aside, it's tough being against gold teams early in the tourneys.

And here I thought we had a tough draw to get last year's winner in the first round of the silver tourney. By the way, HHF, nice job knocking off Requiem in the official tourney.

Halo's Tourney: We lost in the 1st round to Pee Wee Power Hour

PIT (Mid-Major): Won 1st round game, no 2nd round opponent yet

Silver Tourney #3: Playing against Rockwall Jackets in a few hours, we took the place of SEC Boys.

Air Attack Tourney: Bracket has just been released, playing against San Antonio Saviours.

Silver #5 opponents in 2 tourneys

On the bright side, Silver 5 will be guaranteed wins in both of those games.

My Pass defense has been terrible this season, that game could go either way.

Thanks. Next game is against TIA and its going to be a very hard one. I guess our tourney will stop here, but i promise we'll do our best though.

Updated OP. Close game in the Air Attack, SAS and Gondwana. Tough loss to TIA in the official, HHF. Still, 0-3 is pretty good against that squad, they're brutal. Way to represent Silver 5!

Assuming we get past our 3rd opponents in the Official Tourney tomorrow morning, the STARS will be facing their third Silver 6 opponent in the fourth round. It's amazing to me that 3 of our first 4 opponents in that tourney (assuming we get past Orcland) are going to be from the same Silver league.

Updated OP with various wins and losses. We're out of Halo and PIT, but we're still in the Official (STARS), the Silver (Gondwana), and the Air Attack (SAS and STARS).

STARS advance into the Elite Eight of the official tournament, downing the Dublin Dragons. The Dragons advanced into the Sweet 16 with a win over the (Gold) East Texas Midnight Riders, so we're very proud of the win over the Dragons. Nothing like beating up on a team that beat a Dirt League alum. The STARS are now 3-0 against Silver #6 in the official tournament.

We'll be playing either He Hate Me !!! or the Boise Hawks to advance to the Final Four. My money's on He Hate Me !!! Experimental builds, boosts, CE or no, Thunder66's crew is dominating this season.

Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas.

12/26 0800: STARS take on the Funk Druckers in the AAT.
12/28 1100: SAS takes on the Oslo Fighting Trolls in the AAT
??/?? ????: STARS take on either He Hate Me !!! or the Boise Hawks in the Official Tournament (HHM/BH to play 12/28 at 0800)

I have serious concerns of getting outed in both tourneys this round. Both of those teams are run by Thunder66, and even though he's got a player on my team, he scares me. Hey wait, all my builds are open to him! Hang on! I cry foul! Oh no wait, I'll save that excuse for after we lose.

Yeah, we had a better defensive effort this last game, but just not good enough overall. Same with the PIT, we came up against the team of the guy who runs the tourney, so I knew we'd be in for a tough one there as well.

Good win in Air Attack, Gongadan. There are some big names on the Funk Druckers team.
