This ranking system baffles me. I may rewrite it later in the season. If I do, I'll tell you the formula I'm using.

Looks pretty good to me.

But you have a better offense and not much worse defense than the guys ahead of you. And a higher SoS. You should be pissed off that they're #1 and you're #2.

And Tallahassee Beatdown should be doubly pissed off. They've got very high ratings in both offense and defense, a pretty solid SoS, and they're...fifth?

If I ever get off my ass and actually look at the code I'll probably change it to one of the systems I was doing in an excel spreadsheet last season. They were much more accurate (in terms of predictive value) than this script. No offense to the creator, he obviously put a lot of work into it.

thanks for doing these, i know theyre a pain in the arse and some will agree or disagree with them... no matter what method you use.

Maybe they have better Special Teams?
The rankings are usually weird early in the season.

Wow! Mudpuppies ranked #10...hmmm. Maybe we need to hire some professionals to be sure we EARN that ranking!
