Hey Guys, I've only been playing since season 8, so I don't know if this has been addressed. I wonder could GLB set up a league of teams that start as pee wee and continue to stay together as a team for like a minimum of 5 seasons, maybe more. It would make a better sense of ownership of the players because we work so hard to develop and train then at end of pee wee we either retire them and start over or they go their separate ways to different teams.
If 16 or 32 owners would agree to pay upfront for 5 -8 seasons, trade only players that were developed in that league, and have a salary cap, we could have like a "keeper" league and really develop our players and teams and overall competition. We wouldn't have to worry about recruiting TOO few players, CPU teams wouldn't happen (hopefully) because the teams are prepaid for. Possibly if an owner got tired or busy and needed to bail out, he could "sell" it to another agent/GM already with the team. Also Not allowing GMs on more than 1 team will keep each team separate.
This differs a bit from the other minor leagues because since I bought my level 13 team 2 seasons ago, I've been out-leveled both seasons and it takes multiple seasons playing catch-up. In this set-up, we would all be at the same level (assuming there were maximum # of leveling boosts allowed per player per total # of seasons) for each season. This would make the leagues more competitive, more team building and IMO more enjoyable.
Thoughts???
IDK, Thoughts???
