I feel your pain. The penalty bug only got us for 3 today. Of course one was on 3rd and 4 -- our 3rd play from scrimmage. We had one on 3rd and 1 on our next drive but got 5 yards and then went for it on 4th and 1. Of course our other penalty came on a 3rd and 6 at their 37. I think we would've converted it too, but ...

No, but when you don't make a first down for awhile you take a morale hit, plus I gave up huge field position twice that they were able to capitalize on. I still don't think that I could have won, but I could have at least made it a game.

Also looks like short passing plays are a terrible idea. From now on, nothing but bombs. :-)
