How does this system work exactly?

After 9 weeks Mississippi and Atlanta were tied with 95 pts and we were 7-2 and they were 6-3. This week we beat a 6-3 team by 3 pts and they beat a 2-7 team by 2 pts and we gained 1 pt in the standing and they gained 2. Kind of perplexed here and what causes us to gain and lose points.

i will see what the deal is, sometimes when inputing games, i get opponents incorrect, cuz that is the biggest pain on the deal.........i will update if wrong.

here is the formula used, but, the biggest thing is data input......sigh, very fun (NOT)

[(wins x50)+(tiesX25)+(opponents wins X5)]/#games
then add (avg sc X10)+[(win%X200)X2]/10*

*=average score is (total points** - highest score***+lowest score)/#of games
**=the most points allowed per game in this formula is 45 to prevent lame blowouts affecting total
***=highest score not to exceed 45

I enjoy this poll and it is very useful and really appreciate the effort to maintain it, but keep in mind the only one that really matters is the last one but it is really looking like a TIA vs HHM championship.

Would love to play HHMs last game since they were TIAs first loss in season 10 during Halos Tournament, but there are so many good teams in gold and there are no second chances in the playoffs.
