I know this is sad but power rankings, league interaction, etc is one of my favorite things about this site. So is anyone going to be doing power rankings for Africa Pro this year? Too early to tell anything now with teams still recruiting like crazy but once the season hits maybe we could get some pre-season rankings, etc.

Yeah I'd be afraid to completely forget to rank an 8-0 team and have the owner bitch me out.

I would, but I hate Math and work is being a total slut.

Maybe, if i did not have so much studying lol

if i have time i can try to do them. never done them before but its worth a shot

i did about 6 rankings last season will do it for you guys if you want me to..
only do the top 8 teams though

There is an Owner in SA AA (I guess AAA #2 now) who had a spreadsheet he plunked numbers into, and it came out with a probable win/loss rating (It was actually pretty close) along with a "Power Rank". He did it 4 times in the season, and it was fun to bicker and banter about it. I will ask him if he will let me use it to help us out.

I think you're referring to someone on my team, Satchmo.

His rankings are absolutely top notch.

Thats awesome if he's on your team. Have you talked to him about possibly doing the power rankings in Africa? From the sounds of it he does a great job.

I have PMed Satchmo (Indeed the man Paul Kemp) He is going to fix up a few minor things in the spread sheet and e-mail it to me so I can use it for this league. As I told him, his was the most accurate, and unbiased ranking system I have seen (It is all about numbers so no one can complain the ranker "Doesn't respect them" it's a number crunching program) so once I get it, I will take a peek and see what I can do for preseason rankings.

I will also try to get out as many power rankings as I can (Weekly may be a bit much, but we'll have to see. I finally got my SA team to where I sit back and just make sure the bills are paid, so hopefully will have lots of time to do this.

Seriously though I would love to see that spreadsheet... I am working in excel all day so I am a spreadsheet geek

I just got the spreadsheet from Satchmo. I'm sorry, but I won't give it out without his permission, if you want a copy of it, I would suggest asking Satchmo, but since he trusted me with it, I don't want to go giving it out to everyone without permission from him.

From looking at it, it'll be around game 4 or so before I post it simply because it would be horribly inacurate before then (it is totally a number crunching spreadsheet that was damn close to being bang on in SA AA but looks like it needs a few games to get it going semi-accurately)
