Interesting approach to combating the tagging system...

The only way ldo

I see tagging hurting the higher level rushing QB's more than the PeeWee ones. In the higher levels a rushing quarterback lacks the skills to do a whole lot more. In PeeWee, a throwing quarterback doesn't really do much better throwing than most rushing quarterbacks. So I know in the past I have had my QB's split time, but then the rushing QB comes in for QB rush plays.

The problem with stopping a rushing quarterback before tagging is that you have to be ready for anything...a qb rush, hb inside, hb outside, screen, deep pass. In PeeWee, when the rushing QB is in the game, the defense still has to be ready for anything b/c all of those plays are still fair game (unless the team ONLY played their rushing QB on qb rush plays which is pretty stupid).

So the advantage given to the PeeWee DC with tagging isn't so much in stopping the QB run. The advantage is when the rushing QB is not in the game you don't have to worry about the QB run. IMO, tagging won't affect much with the rushing qb in the game...it'll have more effect against the passing QB b/c the defense won't have to blitz from the outside allowing them 2 extra guys to stop the hb rush or the pass.

Good point, Ping. And with the passing QB being nerfed even more, is there really a need for a passing QB in PeeWee anymore?

That's pretty much exactly what I've been wondering...tagging doesn't do much if they have to worry about both QB's.
