Wow what a first round of games we had. Atlanta squeaked by Bengalfish with 3 short field goals. We had The Insane Asylum score with 1:48 left in the 4th to beat Cameron 14-10. Carolina escapes a tie with South Park with a 57 yard punt return for a Td and win 24-17. South Park got ot the opponents 24 before turning the ball over on downs. Short Bus and Whambulance do battle on the forums before taking it to the field and Short bus pulling away 30-10. Department of Redundency Department was tarinling into the 4th quarter 7-6 until reeling off 13 straight points to take the lead and the win over the Pugs. Lone Star wins with balance on offense from an air and ground assault over CEP. The Air Raid Sirens were going off in Nebraska as Boston took flight with an impressive air game that went 36/51 for 320 yards setting up 3 rushing Tds. He Hate Me has the easiest of the day scoring 28 points in the 2nd quarter to win 49-7. Are you ready for more exciting football? Round 2 sports regular season upsets and close ball games!

12-4-0 Carolina Guard
Last Meeting Short Bus won 3-0
Last time these two teams met it was all defense all game long. In fact the only points came in the first quarter with a field goal. Both teams played really conservative but this game may see some offensive on the boards. Both teams have an air assault so we should see many passes amongst the rushing. This game will probabl;y come down to the 4th quarter field goal.

Atlanta knocked the Insane Asylum out of the #1 spot late in the season after riding the #1 seed all season. All the scoring came in the 1st half with Atlanta throwing for a Td pass and rushing for another. Atlanta scores enough in the first half again and holds off for the win

Last meeting Boston won 23-0
This game could go either way. If He Hate me doesn't pick up those 1st downs on 4th down it could be an ugly end to a beautiful season. Boston loves to air it out and I don't see them changing it now. They also have an honest ground game and do test the rushing from time to time though often unsuccessful. They also play great defense. HHm plays great run DF, but a great run DF sets up a faulty passing DF. Boston wins from a botched 4th down call on HHM own side and cashes in a late FG

14-2-0 The Department of Redundancy Department (Win by 14)
Last Meeting Lone Star won 9-7
The last time these two clubs faced off, Lone Star won but Lone Star also out leveled DoRD 594-540. This time the tides have turned and DoRD out levels Lone Star 669-625. Could the early boosting cost Lone Star the playoffs? Something never seen before is looking at DoRDs roster and seeing all the 14's. Scary math for Lone Star. DoRD sends payback and wins 24-10

I don't think they should even have penalty's really, they occur every game (regardless of builds), and its just a very random thing. Given they don't have blocks in the back, holding, pass interference and all the other crap they should just do away with them all together.

I don't know how huge penalties are at the higher levels (I'm guess not that much as most games are routes), but at peewee level they are huge! one penalty at the wrong time can be the difference between a win and a loss.

Having said that.... please penalty gods, give Boston's offense about a thousand false starts, and their defense five hundred encroachments, amen.

ya know what I did notice after doing a league total, is that th emore offense you play the more you get . Especially in the playoffs. Look at the teams with the most, they had the ball more. I got hit with 11, I think you got hit with 9, I know it has absolutely nothing to do with builds as we have tried everything and its still the same thing. You play offense a lot you get penalized.
I agree, just do away with them, you can't control them and all they do is kill drives. I think last game they killed about 5 drives in scoring range. At one point we got hit with 3 in a row. A player with high confidence and vision still picks up the same as a player with hardly any vision and confidence. That was the most stupidist thing I had heard of when Bort decided to do that. Then their was talk of injuries, I think I honestly would have quit had that happened. Its not like madden where you get injured you can play another game in 15 minutes. We spend 2 days preparing for a game to get hit with a game losing injury would be BS.

It's cool I have a way around penalties, were just going to go 3 and out and not score out of protest!!!

Hehe.

+1 to the remove penalty comments. We've lost a coupe big games in the past that we felt were due to lopsided penalties. We've tried altering player builds to reduce them and had no success. I can't think of a single time I saw a penalty for either side and thought it was a cool addition to the game.

They are a meaningless random element in an otherwise (mostly) skill based game, and I wish they were gone.
