I have already asked this in the tactics forum but no one seems to answer. Hoping for an answer from you guys.
What do the settings for casual team defensive AI represent. In the future I'm contemplating becoming a DC and it would be helpful to know the direct effect of the settings. I know it is casual thus options are limited, but still I think there are people out there who have mastered it quite well, maybe they can provide some insight.
Blitzing: who blitzes LBs or even safeties?
Run Defense/Pass Defense: what does it effect and how? (concretely not just theoretically)
Run Inside/Outside: does it affect player positioning?
Defend Short/Medium/Long: is it the main coverage shell? could this be used to set a basic shell? would it be worth to set 50% short, 50% medium if one wants cover1/2?
I'm asking these because I have had a very disappointing season on my team concerning defense against outside run/QB rush and the suggestions are more for advanced AI. Maybe a compiled list of these option effects could help coordinators simulate advanced tactics.
