This ^

We have to get the code itself under control first and bring the hurries/sacks to a normal level, THEN we can run the type of tests you're talking about potts.

I was just re-explaining my methodology. Very content to wait, but I need to make sure you guys do run that test before the code goes live.

Tons of changes to the passing game.

First...brand new bump and run coverage. Granted, still needs fleshed out a bit (equations, it's apparently a very simple equation atm), and of course needs balancing or what not.

With CB's being 20+ points stronger than the WRs

With WR's and CB's being about equal:

Also, Bort made a change so that defenders will actually cover players behind the LoS, instead of stopping at it (huge changes to screen mechanics)
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1428&pbp_id=310407

I think the blocking order is getting closer to being "final". You can see a decent example in these plays. The blockers tend to favor the side with the most blitzers, and in case of being outmanned, will block the inside first. All of it will eventually require vision checks, those haven't been worked in yet (players pass the vision checks 100%)

Bort has said that it is also a little bit more difficult to block players outside of the box (on screens, lead blocking, etc etc...guess it may also effect WR's holding blocks forever)

I know this is a tiny thing, but in the screenshot from Drk's post, it has 1 Skill Point costing 250XP. Since 1000XP gets you 5 SP, shouldn't 1 SP just cost 200XP? Like I said, it's a dumb small thing, but I wanted to put that out there.

Bump and run needs to have a way to have the CB be flattened by the bump.

Hmm, I got nothing. I guess that would make since, but I guess Bort just wanted to make it a higher price for the SP.

Possibly, but it should be whenever a WR has a huge amount of strength and a CB doesn't have much. A smart CB wouldn't go straight into a WR and hope to bump him if he knows he will get knocked down.

Also, here's a CB getting knocked down and kicked around when he tries to bump a FB

I enjoy watching the new line interaction though, seems far less predictable.

Bort said you need to lose out on the transaction.

Depends.

I mean, obviously if you have 30 strength, you should have already capped it and are behind. Hopefully, it will have enough downsides that it isn't the dominant coverage. You can see in some of the replays that the bump actually causes the WR to get some separation that they wouldn't normally get. Along with Knocked Loose probably getting a nerf (devaluing strength a bit), hopefully it won't be an obvious choice.

BUmp and RUn looks risky, i Like it, gives more time to the DLINE to get pressure, but looks like it can let a WR get open easier also if given ennough time
