Well, after two weeks, everybody in playoff contention neither gained nor lost ground. However, some teams solidified or greatly heightened their odds of getting into the playoffs, while others put themselves in someone else's hands. Here is the outlook through 14 games.

Team by Team Comparison:
(* Denote Swing Games)

6) Saigon Knights (9-5-0)
Overall Rating: 33
Remaining Schedule Record: 11-17-0
Last Week: 6th in Rankings (Same)
Playoff Status: Almost Certain (Clinches with win or tie in next two games, or a loss and/or tie by Johor Bahru Beach Bums, has tiebreaker over the Shang Hi Seminoles by winning head-to-head matchup)

Analysis:
Barring a tremendous collapse, the Knights are heading to the playoffs. They are currently tied with the Gangzhou Ducks, but should solidify at least a #6 seed by winning their game against the hapless Penguins in Week 16. However, they are still inthe running for the #5 spot, as they are half a game behind the Indonesia Islanders. So, they will not just roll over against the Aussie Battlers (who have hit a bit of a snag these past couple weeks) in Week 15. This is the team that none of the big guys want to play right now. Saigon probably has more momentum than any team right now, except for maybe the undefeated Tweetys, and their first round playoff opponent better not take them lightly. They are the team that, right now at least, has the best chance of getting a road win in the first round.

Remaining Game Predictions (Actual Result):
Gangzhou Ducks - W* (W)
Tin Zin Taint Manglers – W (W)
Shanghai Shaolin Monks – W (W)
oQuarterback Press - W (W)
Aussie Battlers - L
Portland Dirty Penguins - W

Final Record: 10-6

7) Gangzhou Ducks (9-5-0)
Overall Rating: 33
Remaining Schedule Record: 23-5-0
Last Week: 7th in Rankings (Same)
Playoff Status: Clinched (By virtue of head-to-head wins against Johor Bahru Beach Bums and Shang Hi Knights)

Analysis:
Initially, I thought this was a slumping team that would limp into the playoffs. As their upset over the Aussie Battlers will tell you, they turned themselves into one of the hottest teams of the past couple weeks. Their last two games are tough, but with their spot clinched, they can use this to try to test new strategies and tactics to see what is successful or not. However, they do not want to throw these games away, as they are still battling for seeding position in the postseason. Still, they can go into these games relaxed and with confidence knowing that their spot has already been sewn up.

Remaining Game Predictions (Actual Result):
Saigon Knights - L* (L)
Shanghai Shaolin Monks – W (W)
oQuarterback Press - W (W)
Aussie Battlers - L (W)
Haiphong Hitmen - L
Phuket All – L

Final Record: 9-7

8) MAKATI Red Robins (7-6-1)
Overall Rating: 30
Remaining Schedule Record: 16-12-0
Last Week: 8th in Rankings (Same)
Playoff Status:

Analysis:
The Red Robins are riding high after beating an evenly matched Johor Bahru Beach Bum Squad. They are now in the driver's seat for that final plaoyoff spot. Despite the chaos and late night parties among the Makati citizens after their overtime win, they still are not out of the woods yet. There is still work to do, and the Tin Zin Taint Manglers, who are out of the playoffs, would love to ruin somebody else's season. They also drew the Taiwan Royals in the final game, which will makes things just that mnuch harder for them to clinch that final spot. Seeding-wise, they look to be the #8 team, as they are 1.5 games behind the Gangzhou Ducks and Shanghai Knights for any playoff movement. They still have an outside chance to get that #7 spot, though, as they beat Gangzhou in that head to head matchup. They also must look out for the Shang Hi Seminoles pulling an upset against the New England Partisans, which would put the Seminoles into that final playoff spot assuming the Robins lose to the Royals in week 16. They are in control of their own destiny, and based on their recent thriller against the Beach Bums, they will more than likely be in.

Remaining Game Predictions (Actual Result):
Bangkok Gamecocks – W (W)
Peking Stampede - L* (W)
Bangkok Tweetys - L (L)
Johor Bahru Beach Bums - W* (W)
Tin Zin Taint Manglers - W
Taiwan Royals - L

Final Record: 8-7-1

---------------------------------------------------Current Cut Line
9) Shang Hi Seminoles (7-7-0)
Overall Rating: 30
Remaining Schedule Record: 18-10-0
Last Week: 9th in Rankings (Same)

Analysis:
Shang Hi is still in the playoff hunt, but they need some help, mainly from the Tin Zin Taint Manglers beating the Red Robins next week. As mentioned before, they are a much improved team from the beginning of the year, and will be a forced to be reckoned with....next season. They still hold high hopes of making it to the playoffs, which would be a huge accomplish from the squad. Next week they have a struggling Peking Stampede team before an epic showdown against the New England Partisans in week 16. In my opinion, however, they will have to win out to have any chance of taking that last spot.

Remaining Game Predictions (Actual Result):
oQuarterback Press – W (W)
Aussie Battlers – L (L)
Haiphong Hitmen - L (L)
Bangkok Gamecocks - W (W)
Peking Stampede - L*
New England Partisans - L

Final Record:

10) Johor Bahru Beach Bums (7-7-0)
Overall Rating: 33
Remaining Schedule Record: 13-14-1
Last Week: 10th in Rankings (Same)

Analysis:
After a heart-breaking overtime loss to the Makati Red Robins in the "Red Nest" last week, the Beach Bums are now needing a lot of help to finish in the top 8. However, they do have a shot, not a great one, of this happening. They play the decent Indonesia Islanders, who, after a great middle part of the year, have been pretty average the past few several games. If they can beat the Islanders, they should have no trouble against the Aggieland Fightin Farmers in the inter-conference game, and may sneak into that final spot. Howver, they would also need the Robins to lose a game, and the Seminoles to lose at least one as well. Both of these are real possibilities. Can the Beach Bums beat the odds? Well, they play an Islander's team that may not be as intense as usual with their playoff spot clinched, and the Farmers are not at the next level yet. So, it is a chance, but they could of helped themself much more by beating the Red Robins last week.

Remaining Game Predictions (Actual Result):
Peking Stampede - W* (W)
Bangkok Tweetys – L (L)
Tin Zin Taint Manglers - W
MAKATI Red Robins - L* (L)
Indonesia Islanders - L
Aggieland Fightin Farmers - W

Final Record: 8-8

Eliminated from Contention:
- Peking Stampede (5-9) - Inconsistency on offense has cost this team a playoff shot. After a fast start, they have now lost their last 5 games and will be looking to build on their team in the offseason. Now playing as a spoiler, they look to ruin the Shang Hi Seminoles Season, and steal a win against the Macau Gamblers to get some positives for next season.
- Tin Zin Taint Manglers (4-10)
- Metro Heroes (2-12)

Potential Teams for Relegation Remaining:
- Shanghai Shaolin Monks (1-13)
- Bangcock Gamecocks (1-13)
- oQuarterback Press (0-14)

Final Projected Playoff Standing:
6) Saigon Knights (10-6)
7) Gangzhou Ducks (9-7)
8) MAKATI Red Robins (8-7-1)
------------------------------
9) Shang Hi Knights (8-8)*
10) Johor Bahru Beach Bums (8-8)

* - Gets Higher Standing due to Head to Head Win

Current Playoff Projection:
(Final Record Projection)

8) MAKATI Red Robins (8-7-1)
vs.
1) Bangkok Tweetys (15-1)

7) Gangzhou Ducks (9-7)
vs.
2) Kentucky Colonels (15-1)

6) Saigon Knights (10-6)
vs.
3) Haipong Hitmen (14-2)

5) Indonesia Islanders (11-4-1)
vs.
4) Aussie Battlers (13-3)

You think the Tweetys are going to lose to the Colonels, huh? If that happens, the Colonels will be in first place.

Yea...you gotta fix that if you think the Colonels will win that game.

No, I think they will lose to the Big Dick Rutkowski and the Penetrators but get the first seed due to the tie-break.

Then you have the Colonels record wrong...because the ONLY way that they AND the Tweetys can finish at 15-1 is for the Colonels to beat them and finish higher than them since the Colonels already have a loss...

I have to agree with my esteemed colleague, Mr. Blevstone...

Well, the Beach Bums' 1 point victory over Indonesia means they are the odds on favorite to sneak into that 8th seed for the playoffs.

It's also given the Saigon Knights a chance to move up to the 5th seed, although it is out of there hands.

Yes! I think we are now the favorite to go into the playoff instead of Robins. Let's see where the last game takes us to.

we beat them, how could they move up over us?

Because they would be 9-7 and we would be 8-7-1, giving them the half a game edge, assuming they win in their weak interconference game.

We got screwed in drawing Taiwan...it happens.

Yeah touche, must of not of paid attention to that haha, should have made the Colonels 14-2 (I guess for some reason I was thinking they were both undefeated without checking to make sure.)

In other news - The Beach Bums, with their win over the Islanders, look to be the favorite for that final playoff spot now.
