Bear Attacks Reach 14 On Year

Tallahassee, FL – All eyes were fixed on the sold out Mustangs Stadium tonight as the historical season of the Las Vegas Super Bears continued. Tonight, the Hamilton Mustangs took their shot at marring the unblemished record of the Super Bears. A hyped up Mustang team took the field and appeared to have the momentum early as they were able to stall the opening Super Bear drive just outside of field goal range.

But any momentum the Mustangs had, vanished on their first play from scrimmage. A well placed shoulder by Colt Johnson popped the ball out of the hands of Moebuis Avatar’s hands. Vexxet Soulfire recovered the fumble for the Super Bears within enemy territory. Four plays later, Randolf McAnderson’s first carry of the game started the scoring spree that was to come.

Las Vegas’ defense played as a complete unit, forcing four turnovers and not allowing a single score. They never allowed the Mustang’s offense to get into any kind of rhythm on the field today, holding them to 120.5 yards of total offense including an unbelievable -17 yards rushing for the game. They held had starting quarterback, Jason Corson, rattled all evening as they hurried him eight times and pulled him down twice. Linebacker Vincent Rawas of the Mustangs led both defensive units with a stellar game in which he racked up 14 tackles and recovered a fumble.

The Super Bears offense was clicking on all cylinders again as they scored 72 points and racked up 650 yards of offense. In a game in which McAnderson was held below 150 yards, the passing game settled in and found a solid rhythm: both Rexman and Corinna had solid games of 220 and 183 yards respectively through the air.

Coming away with the win on the road was huge as the Super Bears (14-0) now head home to play out the rest of the season. They face a well balanced Wollongong Hippos (11-3) to close out their Zeta Conference play and then finish off the season with an inter-conference match-up against the Fiji Ventures, a team on the bubble for a playoff birth in the Alpha Conference.

With the end in sight for the regular season, one must wonder if the Las Vegas Super Bears can be stopped in the regular season from reaching the coveted perfect season. And with the regular season nearing an end and the playoffs just around the corner, can they carry the momentum into the post season? Only time will tell.
