I guess the way to look it it though is that he's spending 400 flex on a PeeWee team to boost his kicker a shit ton. Presumedly this would give him a nice track to the Pro leagues.

I think it's the last 2 minutes of a half or something that the rule stops applying, tbh.
But yeah, at the beginning of the last season my favourite buddy was kicking as soon as the offense got the ball on every first down with his kicker.

You can't do that anymore.

That's just mean.
I thought we were all friends here.

And, tbf, I've complained about kicker and punter XP since season 1.
Every season for the past 4 seasons now, I've been especially harsh trying to get some fixes.

The reason you can't kick on first down anymore, if you must know, was in large part because of me.
...not that I believe that was a good fix or anything.

Have you tried building a kicker to be a special teams blocker or tackler? What other positions can the kicker play that don't cause huge stat losses?

My only problem with fast-building a kicker is that you haven't had much time to train him, so your stats when you reach the level bonus reduction stage will be poor. He will perhaps be at a higher level when the decline starts to happens, but he won't be as good as at level 50 as a kicker that leveled up slowly.

Well, comparable drawbacks to regular boosting if you want to look at it like that.
Yeah, guys that don't boost and will level slower will have better capabilities to be better.

Even more, he levels fast now... but later he won't and you'll barely be able to tell.
I agree it's not as bad as it looks... but I still think the system is screwed up, if only because we're supposedly so against gutted teams and I think the system encourages gut-jobs like mine for a kicker and it's also backwards because the punters are punished and stupid if they look to be on really good teams. Meh. No one else really seems to care though.

Oh, and let's not forget the over 3 million dollars I will end up giving my Kicker... that's stupid too, ain't it?

lol - don't worry. I'm not taking personal offense or anything.
Really, I just expect even more people to get upset with the idea that I would be "gutting" the team or whatever else... but, let's face it, that's how Pee Wee teams are set up and what you're supposed to do.

I'm, as usual, just bringing up even more issues I have with some part of the system.
The sickest part is that I don't even care that much about the kicker and have encouraged other people to "play the game to the fullest" in previous seasons (minus VERY slight "abuse" of the system with my Punter Cat Stevens - that I got flak for) and only made the kicker and got the Pee Wee team myself because no one else seems to care and I'm too lazy to really inspire anyone to maybe care to do it.

But yeah, I've only gotten one "hate mail" (which actually wasn't even mean-spirited like many I've had in the past) this season... which actually disappoints me, as I totally wish more people cared.
Meh.

Now that the awards are conference based, the fact that a team throws games like you do doesn't have that big of an effect on things like awards and MVP stuff. I have previously stated that I'd rather be in a league where every team is filled with active players and owners like you would find in the Pro leagues, but you just can't expect those kinds of numbers when you are talking about 800 teams in Pee Wee and 40,000 players needed to fill them (assuming that you are creating 50 players per team, which is required if you want dedicated special teams).

There are too many Pee Wee Leagues.

This causes the talent pool to be spread thin.

This makes recruiting difficult.

This makes for frustrated owners that CPU their teams.

This makes for uncompetitive leagues and pure stat boosting games.

This makes Time Trial a sad panda.

btw, that 40,000 players is a scary stat to wrap your head around.

It would be nice if a PeeWee team owner had the team for more than 2 seasons he would be moved into a league with other 2 (or 3) season owners.

The team owner would have to have a full human roster for both seasons.

I was under the impression that most winning teams would be moved to lower PeeWee league numbers.

Could you imagine how much fun it would be if you had Darkus Blacks, Short Bus, Crib, etc etc all in one league? What a fight!

You wouldn't have many 16-0 teams that whore the league.

Ya'll may not remember me because my team blew last season but we were "Long Beach Devil Eaters" - I had to recruit 40 player that took me FOREVER because I waited too long to start recruiting. I didn't have a single day 31 player. Most of the players I recruited it was their first GLB season... which is pretty frustrating if you want to win some lol

This season, about 10 of the guys from last season that we're die hard PeeWee players decided to retire and recreate for my team this season. Now we already have a full roster of day 31 players for season 10

When you find agents like that, peewee is so much fun. Players name chances but the agents get better at building them for peewee every season.

Not trying to be mean, Malachorn (and I have a feeling you're not too upset...). You like to find weaknesses in the game you can cleverly exploit, while simultaneously complaining about those weaknesses...I'm not sure how to react to that! As I said before, my instinct is to try to thwart such an effort...

That said, I find you to be a well spoken and intriguing character. Just curious...what exactly did you do to get banned from the game? It seems you are either villified by haters or fawned over by admirers...I'm curious to hear your point of view!

Well, I've not fully capitalised on the kicker and punter "problems" hardly at all... and it's pretty much always been, minus a very short time that Bort actually capped their XP before he quickly changed it back to being uncapped, like this and it's well-known by most all users that have been around for awhile.

As such, I'm afraid I wouldn't even call me very "clever" at all about this. But, probably fairly clear that I like to complain and I'll give ya that much.

Why'd I get ban before? Well, that's a long story that I've answered many times now. The answer would change depending on who you asked. I've always stated that it was almost completely because of a feud that me and a certain mod had going and then my blatant disrespect to a certain admin that seemed to take that mod's side.

And, you could punish your whole team if you wanted to try and gameplan just to get my kicker a little less XP... it really wouldn't even matter too much to me and, obviously, my kicker is still going to get more XP than he probably should be able.
