- Make aggressive defenders more in control of their acceleration when jumping forward for the INT/PD attempt. Should help those guys with super speed from way over jumping like they have been.

This game was actually right after the update. I think last Friday or Sat.

Looks like the QB was throwing lofty passes over the CB's head.

I started a thread asking about the CBs in a private DC forum. I have seen these results on multiple teams I DC for. These players all have 15 in BH:

Damn coding problems. Seems like the CB logic is to jump the route, but why? If he's got the angle on the pass as is, why not stick to his man and bat the pass down. Were those CBs on aggressive?

They were. Which might explain it IF Aggressive has actually become Aggressive and risky (as the description claims). And that's fine, but we did not see this in pre-season.

It was there in the pre season. I saw it in our first game.

Nor in any other season before... If playing aggressive makes a CB over jump a route on just about every throw, I see no benefit in even offering it. And what's tough to manage is that really all the other options given to a cb are really not that attractive. The only other tactic that can be selected that even mentions going for picks is Medium but if you don't have help over top the description says your player will play "loose" which doesn't make much sense either since were speaking of coverage style not distance.....Really a little confusing

The CB play is working as intended. In the above cases, the CB thought he could get the ball and missed.

hm the only problem with the Cb of Thinking of getting the ball i havent seen any that actually got the ball in this fashion??
Jumping in the direction of the ball to hopefully intercept or maybe pd it doesn`t sounds verry logical to me( unless your like maybe 2,30 meters tall)
the examples seen are about good Db`s who will completely leave their guys to try to catch the ball completly off target so the reciever who has the right positioning and is on the right spot makes the play ??
if this is how its was intended i seriously like to see any wr`s doing like that so the db can make the plays;P

Sometime I really wonder if Bort knows how to play football. NO corner backs will cut back toward the line of scrimmage and let the WR get behind them unless the ball is severely under thrown by the QB on go patterns. When covering a streak (fly) pattern man to man, DBs might stop in their tracks and jump in an attempt to pick the ball off, but they will not run back toward the line of scrimmage and try to pick the ball off. There would be a lot of broken ankles if DBs tries to cut back like that.

You will never see plays like this in football:

Now to be fair, I have to post these as well. I have seen this insanely aggressive behavior pay off too.

It may not be broken at all. Just set as it was originally intended. If that's the case there will be instances where I use it, but not against every team, and not without a lot of over-top support.

My problem is that there is no setting for just bat the ball down. I don't want my guys jumping routes. Even on Medium/Semi or Close/Semi they still jump the routes. Its not as often as aggresive coverage but it stil happens.

Also how often do you actually make a play on the ball. The risk reward heavily favors the Offense. IT SUCKS. Go back to the old way.

This is the salient poit.

Preferably, it seems as though the CB should be coded in such a way that going for the pick/bat would involve stepping in front of the WR, but not lunging towards the LOS.

hm you might be right but how do we know this is from the agression setting or because the cb red the play better ,ball short , made the vision check and therefore he did what he did.
not saying it was so but how do we knowq for sure ( the action seemed familiar )
