Just because I've seen other people complain about the Linebackers moving in their DPC plays.

That is a linked play, and you will see all of my linebackers standing on top of each other in the center of the field.

The coverage on each should have been

RoLB Sets up on the outside shoulder of the RDE, and is in man coverage on the HB.

MLB is about 5 yards directly off the RG, and is in man coverage of the Fullback

LoLB sets up on the outside shoulder of the LDE, and is in man coverage of the HB.

As you can see, all three lilnebackers move on the play set up to line up directly across from their man, which is not what we were told was supposed to happen. Only those players outside the box are supposed to move..

If you need any more info, I'll be happy to provide it as this happened alot in the game I linked.

Same thing happened to one of the teams I DC for. Plays looking like this throughout the game. Every time I had the custom play called where the LBs go M2M on the HB, and RB this happened....

I totally agree with only players outside the box moving. Hopefully this gets fixed (or is even fixable) soon.

Is it still happening after 3:00 eastern time yesterday when Bort rolled his changes back?

I spoke with hazyone about this through PMs, and he said that "Bort said that's the way it currently works but he's going to look at an option to have a drop down to "not change position" - so he knows about it, just nothing that can be done about it right now."

It is all in the M2M coverage of the RBs, and I went through and changed all of my custom plays to fix them accordingly now.

Yes it will, actually. You'd need to put him zone to make him stay put.

so would this work if say I had the FS on TE coverage, on the d play creator the FS can't go to the other half of the field where the TE is, but if I put him on man coverage of the TE will he line up over the TE?

That is an excellent question.

I'd like to run a 3 CB set every once in a while and put the 3rd CB on the TE, but he lines up on the opposite side of the field.

Had the same question about FS and CB3. Any chance of Bort chiming in? R8 have you tried this on the test server?

Also, what happens when the TE lines up weak side? Would the LOLB follow him across the field? Ideally, the AI should know to switch coverage to the ROLB. Otherwise, can't I exploit by lining up the TE weak and then running strong with no LBs on that side of the field?

One other issue with CB3 is why can't I choose which side of the field he plays? If I want to blitz CB3, I may want to bring him from the strong side and ask my FS to man up on the 3rd WR.




if you move you TE to the left side (what you call weak) it now becomes strong...i dont know what Bort's coding says but wherever the TE goes in GLB will be the strong side of the formation whether he is on the left or right side...

Wait a minute!

Up until two days ago, linebackers did NOT move when assigned Man to Man coverage. This is exactly what Bort told us during the preseason that players inside the box would not move when assigned man to man.

I found it rather alarming that out in the main BUG area, at least two different threads were locked and claims were made that nothing was wrong when this is a HUGE change, and NOT A SINGLE FREAKIN THING has been posted or answered until someone here heard through the grapevine that someone said something to someone's sister who was best friends with the family dog.

My game sims in less than an hour, and I took you at your statement that it was fixed as of 3:00 est yesterday.

Boy do I feel like an idiot for believing that anyone back there has a clue.

Whenever the team I was against used Shotgun with 3 WR, the ONLY passed, so I implemented the following play:

As you can see in the replay below, the MLB most definitely does not blitz the QB, but rather picks up the TE (kinda).

I have a lot of things where a LB is going to cover the FB if he's going out on a route, but if that isn't going to happen, it may be better to just straight up blitz the LB and leave the FB open occasionally. Do anyone know what's going on here?

(I have special DPC plays saved that I made for each game, so I know I didn't change it or anything of the like)

No no no, that's not correct really. The behavior yesterday was buggy and has been reverted to what it was. I am adding the "man but don't move" option so you can do things like line up your CB further back or set your SS to cover the HB while outside the box, etc.

I'll check on that Ronnie - it should do a blitz if that's the play call there.

So, where will the LOLB or ROLB line up for today's sims if they are set to m2m on the HB? Will they be bunched in the middle of the field, or will they line up where I've set them?

kind of need to know soon. we sim in a couple hours.

Mark - they line up where you've set them. At least they did in my sim earlier today at 2 PM central.

Here is another example of a player staying in a zone when his last man coverage assignement is to blitz. This is the FS his man coverage is supposed to be HB or FB or Blitz. He has much more than 60 vision.
