Great Idea, just go with the roster limitation if you're pitching it. I'd definately be in for this if it went through.

Everyone gets OOP, so pick your poison. Don't change a thing.

I say keep the OoPP but limit the number of players and add a script to make sure that each player is on the 2-deep at any given position.

Energy tactics could be exploited to keep the offensive players on offense and defensive players on defense if the team has enough players, so that's why we'd need those controls.

If you limit the entire roster to 15 players, you don't need to worry about energy tactics or exploits.

Even in an Iron Man league, you could still have a couple of players that are just offense and a couple that are just defense. Maybe a guy who's just kicker/punter. It would be up to each owner/GM to figure out how to best fill those 15 slots.

You could just have anybody do it if they have the skill. Jim Brown was a punter in college.

I do know for certain that I'd be building a few new players for this if it flies.

This would be very simple to implement. Remove the OOP and and add tackling to your WRs, HBs, TEs and O-lineman.

Done.

No thanks.

Actually, I'd probably retire a lot of my guys if this flies and remake them as Ironman players. Players in this game would actually play, not be hoarded and rotated like they are in the main game.

People make players to play, and an Ironman format ensures that is exactly what they'd be doing - playing, and not 20 plays a game either.

That is the only thing that makes any kind of sense as far as this idea goes.

Seems like a coding task, though.

lol why because you dont like it? simply reduce the roster size and voila you have this league... should be fairly simple to implement and lots of fun

It wouldn't be coding problem to create leagues IDENTICAL to the ones we already have with the ONLY difference being a 15 player roster limit. Viola! Iron Man leagues.

No, not a coding task, just eliminate the OOP. I already covered it.

sounds interesting... only 2 observations
1. I dont think everyone should have to play O and D, if a team wants to sign a traditional QB and just have him play QB, that is a strategy (they do that in arena)
2. Wouldnt everyone go an all running team eliminating the need for QBs WR or a receiving TE.... itd be like a peewee all run all I-Slam fest
