I didn't realize you won it last season. This is our first season in pee wee, we just didn't bother changing the name. We liked it, so we will be back win or lose.

I have heard of people running the same play over and over to win. This is the first time I have actually seen it. Would be interesting to see who would win with a normal offense.

You guys should of watched our scrimmage that was played a few hours earlier, its the exact same offense. We beat them though

?? I don't think Strong I Slam means what you guys seem to think it means. We run Strong I Slam maybe 15% of the plays.


Edit to add: Just went through the first half... Strong I Slam count was 4-4. :shrug:

GG to you also. I liked your strategy of busting out the previously unused running QB for the final. We weren't expecting that.

Oh...I guess we have no excuse since we didn't scout you a few hours before the game. Bottom line, you guys kicked our butt but don't through this out there like you were giving us a chance to see you were going to run basically the same play the whole game.

?? LordEvil owns the team we scrimmaged. He's not a Butte Pirate (giggle). I'm not sure what he's suggesting you might have learned from that game though tbh. It's not like he showed you a defense to stop us... we just couldn't stop them either. I guess you could have seen our play calling, but you could have seen that from any of our games from the earlier rounds. We didn't make any major changes for this one.

I'd still like to know what you think the Strong I Slam looks like though. Or would you like to change your complaint to a different play?

Our group is in USA Pro, so we're sick of seeing teams convert to Islam. We had to play freaking Csonka twice this season. That's why I kept the percentage low here despite knowing it was a successful play.

But due to the complaints in this thread, I went through the entire game just in case I was overlooking something in my offensive AI settings. Results are interesting.

Butte Pirates:
total plays = 56
Islams = 4

Willy Wonkas:
total plays = 69 (9 of which were desperation mode passing plays at the end)
Islams = 28

Huh. My favorite part was Wonka's first two possessions of the second half, where 19 of the 31 plays were Islam. And you guys are complaining why??

It was like our offense this season on Pee Wee too. Especially late in the season, we relied a lot on HB runs but they weren't slams. We had a speed back and preferred to run outside a lot more. Looks like Butte did a lot of the same things. You're not going to have the average per-carry they had by cramming it up the middle over and over again.

Congrats to Willy Wonka on a good season.

Unfortunate that you had to resort to a complaint about us I slamming you guys when we clearly didn't as coach points out.
