I dont think so. Arent we supposed to be perma-capped? That was my reason for getting a casual league. I like to keep it simple and not have to re-recruit a new team every year because of a new cap.

you shouldn't have to recruit a new team as they will naturally level up...

exactly.. your players are going up so they all should be around 21 now.. so that way when you need to sign people they can be at the same lvl. and your not signing guys 5 lvls lower..

As I understand the perma cap system :

The perma cap applies only to free agents.
Players already on the roster can extand their deals even if they currently outlevel the cap.

my 2 cents

I imagine you'll be in a 24-league, since you'll probably end up promoted.

The previously mentioned shuffling is coming up, so I thought I'd run down a couple of the questions I've gotten and what we're doing:

The main thing is that I will be adding an option for you to specify what level your team will be when the season starts. I've gotten some concerns from team owners who will be unable to sign their players until day 1, and would otherwise be shuffled into the low leveled caps. An example of what this will allow you to do:

- Right now, you have all CPU players and some lv 2's.
- Normally, you would be shuffled together with teams who also have CPU players and lv 2's.
- However, you have a whole bunch of lv 30 guys waiting to sign with you on day 1 and 2 of the next season.
- The option I will be adding will let you go to a page and say "I want a level 32 league."
- When the shuffling happens, you'll be put into a level 32 league, and you can sign your level 30 guys.

What it will NOT allow you to do:
- Right now, you have a bunch of level 50 players, or you plan to sign them soon.
- You go to the new page I add and sneakily say "I want a level 13 league" even though you have level 50 players.
- When the reshuffling happens, you will NOT be put in a level 13 league. This will be overriden by your level 50 players and you will be put in an uncapped league with other level 50 teams. If you want to get that level 13 league, make sure you cut all your players that are too high!

When I add this option, I'll let you know and it will show up as a link on your team profile page.

We will be doing the shuffling as soon as we can during the offseason, because once it's done, we can hand out the CPU teams in the newly capped leages to the waiting list and everyone can know where they stand.

This goes for ALL uncapped teams at the bottom of their region's tiers, and for the casual leagues as well. Please check out my previous announcement for where the caps are going in the casual leagues.

Info on some upcoming league changes, casual teams, and more

By Bort

We have been working on revising our league structure a bit, to create smaller level differences at the lower tiers. To accomplish this, there will be more tiers created below the current BBB level, and the current BBB level will be shrunk down. However, these new lower tiers will not be pyramid shaped. They will be more like a tower, with fewer, permanently capped leagues to keep the level ranges in the leagues smaller, and to help the lower level teams enjoy better competition like the Pro and AAA leagues do.

We are also revisiting the idea of a world league or leagues for top Pro teams to promote to (don't worry, we'll keep track of your original region if you move up and get demoted later).

To get ready for this, we're going to be doing some housecleaning duties this offseason in the lower tiers after doing promotion/relegations for the season.

Casual Leagues
- There will be a new tier of caps added for level 32, and some of the current levels will be reapportioned or added to as needed. We're going to be shuffling all the current teams into the appropriate tiers based on level.
- Next off-season, we'll be adding the beginnings of a pyramid structure above lv 32, with the top teams from the level 32 tier moving up to create it.

Regular Leagues
- This offseason, we'll be shuffling the uncapped bottom tiers to get teams of similar level together, and all CPU's in their own leagues. This means tiers like USA BBB will get shuffled up, Oceania A will get shuffled up, etc. We'll sort teams based on the median and max level of players on the team.
- For the leagues that have lower level teams shuffled into them (or CPUs), we will be capping them at 13/16/21/24/28/31/34 based on the teams that get shuffled there. Leagues with teams in the higher 30's, 40's, etc. will remain uncapped.
- Next offseason, we'll do some more shuffling and reform the leagues into our new stucture.
- To go with this restructure, the available fan amounts for the new lower tiers will be adjusted so that selling out a fully maxed out stadium will be much harder and require lower prices. This is to make sure that teams who have a full stadium and drop down to the bottom to rebuild don't have a big advantage over the other teams there who are starting out.

Other stuff
- We're hashing out an idea for a shared TV revenue type system, with a larger amount for Pro teams, and smaller for bottom tier teams. More later on that when I have a solid idea.
- I'd also like to encourage everyone to check out the test server blog section of the forum: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread_list.pl?forum_id=3734&team_id=0. There's a lot of info and discussion on the upcoming updates and additions for the sim and tactics for this next season, including d-line shifts, the custom D creator, custom defensive depth chart slots, some new plays, and more. Especially check out the "Test Blog" post for official info from admins and testers.

I have read all of that and it still doesn't tell me. I am guessing Level 24.
