How many current owners are keeping their teams next season?

West
Wagner's Meat

East

If we are going to be able to hold onto the same owners year in and year out, I think we have a pretty good chance to have nearly limitless free fun on GLB.

I talked to a few of the other owners before the season about their teams boosting or not boosting. It seems (or seemed at the time) that most owners were not intending to boost as a team, and most were not intending to boost at all.

If we could get all 32 owners on board and agree that none of us would boost I think we could end up with a very competitive league that had long term potential. Recruiting agents would be easy - there would be no flex required to be on the team. They build a player in season 9, retire him after season 9 and reroll for season 10. The only reason to boost Pee Wee players is to outlevel other teams and win the championship. If we can agree that no one would boost, that reason for boosting is removed and the playing field is level for all teams.

Personally I don't see any long term value in boosting Pee Wee players. In order to be successful at this level, you have to build your guy differently than you would if he were going to be in a regular league. The build you end up with in the Pee Wee league makes your player a liability in higher level leagues and you'll never be as dominant as you would have been had you built for the Pro level endgame from the get-go.

One team could screw this up with a 'win at all costs' mentality, but if you have to use higher levels to beat builds/tactics, have you really won anything?

Thoughts?

Just an fyi, I will not be boosting any of my players this season or any season from here on out - not because I can't, but because I don't want to. I plan on playing Pee Wee football for a long time at $4.00 a season.

Yeah, I plan on creating atleast 1 new player. The only flex cost would be for the team owners to rebuy their team for another season.

keep team-yes
boosting-yes (late)
Why pay for the team and then not do everything in your power to win?

If your gameplanning and builds are not enough to keep games close when you are similar in level, do you really think that 2 or 3 extra levels is going to make much of a difference?

What I am proposing is that each team actually gameplan for each other and the best gameplanner is the winner instead of the team with the highest leveled players being the winner. Keep the playing field level and let the users beat one another.

I am apparently in the minority (so far, at least) but this is the way I look at it.

The team costs $4.00 a season.
Boosting an offensive lineman, kicker or punter and then retiring them costs about 90 cents.
Boosting a TE, FB, or any defensive player and then retiring them costs about $1.80.
Boosting a WR, RB or QB and then retiring them costs $2.70.

Boosting a starting lineup and then retiring them will lose $49.50 in flex. Add in the cost of the team and a boosting team costs $53.50 a season instead of $4.00. Pee Wee players are generally going to be useless as they move to higher level leagues and will never have builds that can compete if they are competitive in Pee Wee play.

$53.50 in lost money - flex that is gone forever. Why would you spend money when you don't have to?

If no one boosts, then the doing the best scouting, building and gameplanning would be "everything in your power to win."

Never going to happen. I originally purchased my team as a 1 season and done experiment. I am now considering keeping it, but I am still going to boost late. Who says a decent peewee player is going to be a bad player down the road?

New York Jaguars, none built for Pee Wee, #2 seed. Pee Wee doesn't require different builds than 13 cap or higher does, tbh. You're still going to race to 68 cap on a skill as fast a possible.

Unfortunately the Llama's will not be back next year.... I will be creating some players if anyone is interested in picking up some of my players... I can create them to what kind of team you want to run... Just contact me PM.

Majority of the llama's players will be joining a level 13 team... If anyone is interested we are trying to make an elite slow build level 13 team and would love if some of you guys join up on this force... Now with that being said and I'll be blunt about it.... We are looking for solid, smart, good builds.... Not a newbie player. We have already done that in our beginning seasons of this game and I do believe majority of you all have solid builds.....

Also we are looking for D-coordinators/D-scouts to work along side with Revzempoe. I am personally looking for someone with high skills in OAI, O-scouting.....

If anyone is interested in joining the team via players, or GM wise.... Please message Revzempoe, or myself and him and I will talk it over.

Please don't take this as being rude, but we really would like to be successful in the future. And we all know winning is fun Specially if it's in higher levels too.

I am off my soap box now... GOOD LUCK IN THE PLAYOFFS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE MADE IT! Let the best team win!
