Gotham (AP) -- For Linebacker J Schmoe, the concept of team has exceeded the money and the fame.
J Schmoe recently sat down with GLBN reporter Neil Popovich, and answered a few burning questions.
NP: "First off, I just want to ask, what does J stand for?"
JS: "It's actually Jackson. My family always called me Jacks, then eventually it was Jack, and finally I just started going by J. No real story to that, I'm afraid."
NP: "Tell me about your team. Who's your roommate on the road?"
JS: "Sir Lawrence Taylor. We usually hang out and stuff when we're not doing football stuff, and he's a pretty cool dude."
NP: "Besides Taylor, who's your favorite buddy from the team?"
JS: "Hmm... Probably Baby Carrot. I've actually had to babysit his kids in the past *laugh*."
NP: "What do you think about the Gotham City Punishers this year? Are they playoff worthy in your eyes?"
JS: "I am neither judge nor jury, only the executioner... Seriously, you should ask our opponents about that some time. But yeah, we're definitely playoff worthy. This year has been a building year, but everyone has the right mindset to go far in the playoffs this year. We keep our chins up, and perform our best every game. Textbook definition of worthy."
NP: "Does this team have a shot at playoffs this year?"
JS: "Of course we do! Look at our schedule. We can easily end the year with 8, possibly 9 wins. We just have to stay focused and execute our game plan."
NP: "What about your coaching staff? Are they ready for the big games?"
JS: "I I bet you could go anywhere in the world, you won't find a better head coach. He's a real professional, honest dude, and the guys in the office really know how to build a team. I wouldn't bet against us."
NP: "Are there any young guys on the team that you're sort of 'mentoring'?"
JS: "Yeah. They're good kids, but they don't like it when I call them my disciples *laugh*. I would say, Dumpy HZ is my favorite, and Curtis (Carrillo) is a good kid, with great talent. They're going to be big, trust me."
NP: "Thank you for your time."
