Baton Rouge (AP) -- As the locals might say, Gotham City ran slower than molasses in winter.

Despite leading in the first quarter, the Gotham City Punishers hit a wall- or a levy?- in Louisiana, dropping another game, losing 6-19. The team's mood? Still very high. In a post-game interview, Rico Dynamite told the press that he was fairly confident in his team. "We're a young squad, and we're building up our talent and confidence with every game."

Despite an awful ground attack, Rico Dynamite passed for 70%, with no interceptions. Dynamite did a fair job in distributing the ball, completing at least 2 passes to 7 different players, with 5 of them going to Frederick Smith.

Recently traded to the team is Dan Miller, experienced wideout who is looking forward to a good season with his new teammates. "I'm quite impressed. The unit here is cohesive and professional."

The Gotham defense performed admirably as well, picking off QB Brett Ashleigh once and holding him to nearly 50% passing, with no TD's. Safety Dave Sack and Linebacker J Schmoe carried the defense, combining for 17 tackles, 2 sacks and the single pick. "Despite the loss, I know I did my part, and my guys played brilliantly", Schmoe said before boarding the plane to Gotham.

Up next on Gotham's plate is the Houston Wave, a fairly lackluster unit, in solid last in the West.
