Its not everyday a coach says the best player on the field is his kicker, but after today head coach sgtjayb might have to. K Taylor Cook went 3-5 on field goal attempts and 1/1 on PATs as the Gulf State Demons beat the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Menzingers 16-3.

The offense did pretty well today, but for the most part they just moved the ball in position for Cook to hit field goals. QB Kristian Klausen went 14/21 with 98.5 yards passing (0/0). RB Speeed Racer had another monster game rushing 35 time for 139 yards and 1 touchdown. Klausen had this to say in the post game news conference, "I had an okay game out there today. Nothing spectacular, but we moved the ball well with Racer and I so Cook could get us some points.

Speaking of spectacular, the Gulf State Demons have finally recorded not one but two sacks in a game. DE Eric Anderson and DE Sheed Owns were the men who finally got to the opposing quarterback. DE Owns said, "It feels great thats for sure. Its was an insult to the entire defense when people said that we werent a great defense because we couldnt get to the quarterback. Well to those who said that, what do you think now?"

With a win the Gulf State Demons remain in 7th place in the USA BBB #15 Eastern Conference Standings, while the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Menzingers drop to 14th.

Next game for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Menzingers (1-5-0): Memphis Showboats (1-5-0)

Next game for the Gulf State Demons (3-3-0): @New Hampshire Hustlers (2-4-0)

Another fantastic job, dude.

The next game will be even more important if The Demons wants to be playing in the playoffs.
