Gotham (AP) -- Tough luck, Phoenix.

After starting the season 0-3, the Goons started to get hot. But it was apparently too late, as the team owner moved his team to a more lucrative venue- Gotham City.

The team's home stadium, "The Abusement Park", was funded by Bruce Wayne, local tycoon.

The Goons, however, graced the Phoenix fans with one last treat.

A 24-9 victory against the Mid-Pac warriors, and a second straight win- both in double digits.

The coach, sackdaddy, was happy with his squad. "There was a noticeable team effort to succeed, and I'm happy with the end result."

After being for the most part unsuccessful through the air, sackdaddy changed the gameplan- RUN, RUN, RUN. And it worked, as the Goons- now the Punishers- racked up nearly 300 yards on the ground, as well as 3 TD's. "It was amazing. Everything clicked, the line blocked like a cement barrier, and every man who touched the ball hit gold", Baby Carrot related to the press. "I rushed for the least amount of yards today, and I still gained more than five yards per touch", Rookie Curtis Carrillo related.

They've got more depth in the backfield now, as Carrillo will be splitting time with newcomer Davor Suker. "Curtis is a good kid, I can probably teach him a few things", Suker said in a post-game interview.

When asked about his teams performance today, Blaze Soares was a bit moody. "We're 1-4, and we better do something quick, or else we're dead in the water." The Warriors have been outscored 79-158, being scored on exactly twice as much as they've scored. "It's frustrating, but we'll bounce back. I trust my team", Ryan Hobs said before leaving the stadium for the night.

Up next for Gotham is the Sacramento South Side Psychos, who are, in our latest power poll, number one in the league.
