A missed extra point kick by Minden lost the Musketeers chance at overtime and gave the Chupacabra their first win of the year.
In a hard fought game, Minden scored late in the fourth quarter only to miss the point after. Kicker Christian Dorian hung his head in disbelief as the kick sailed wide right.
"Missed PAT can you believe that *$&#?" asked rookie linebacker Demetrius McQueen, "Hell it don't matter baby... Its a win for tha S-J-C!!! We hold it down..."
The Chupacabra's running game overwhelmed Minden's defence led by Beau Jackson, who added a couple of catches of 80 yards rushing. Minden had the edge in passing however, with quarterback Chris Lighting posting 258 yards to Remo Rankin's total of 178.
"Yeah, Lightning can play, but he rattles,"said McQueen," Look at Remo...Dude is pro man. Like ice. But we shook up Lightning a bit..Me and Mike Hammond was livin' in Minden's backfield. I think he got scared."
